No matter how far they have gone, some people come back as if they never left.

You have problems? We should all be grateful to Allah, especially for those who are struggling in the heat without shelter or water.

While some people wish they were in your position, you are whining about how this and that is life!

Anisa:
"Yes, I will,"I nodded in an agreement since I also have very less time I want my last days to be a memorable one I would feel at ease knowing I had forgiven my best friend.

"I want you to do something in return," I said to him. He furrowed his brows, but I said nothing—I never say anything—because what I am going to say will be beneficial to him.

How come he was accepting everything I said when I told him to just demand what he wanted?

I am back with Ayman, the guy I used to be friends with, and my goodness, I love him even more now that he is changed so much! Oh no!I can not let Ayman know that I love him, even though I know he likes me. I have to push him away, especially on the last day, the 12th day. This has to be a secret between me and Allah alone.

"In the unlikely event that something happens to me, I want you to move on, be happy, and settle down."After saying all of this, he looked serious, his face pale, and he stared at me intensely. I turned away, unable to look at him any longer because I felt like I was hurting us both again.

Upon seeing me, he clenched his fists and glared at me, saying, "Ask me anything, but not this one."

"You seem to be saying that you will leave me alone soon. Tell me again, what are you hiding from me?Because it is always about me and not us, your silence is hurting us both.Although he had even admitted that he liked me, I understood what he meant and would stop at nothing to win his affection.

I wiped a tear that had fallen and said to him in a low voice, "You said I ask anything and you will give me."

He paced the room, firmly saying, "Yeah but not this one I can not not now not ever."

"I want to see you happy, please understand," I whispered, but he heard and moved to sit next to me.

What about your happiness, then? This time, it is going to be all about you and us," he remarked, grinning as though he remembered something. I miss the jokes we used to pull.

"It is my understanding that you are concealing something from me; please share it with me," he said, planting another kiss on my forehead.

The words "Time up" were uttered, and we suddenly heard our parents laughing.

"Remember, this is not over 12 days."Ayman whispered and stood up, winking at me. Oh, no!He is up to something, and I still do not know how to wink. He used to teach me how to whistle and wink, but I always failed.

Everyone was in the same room, and it felt like old times. I wish I could live longer; I know the doctors have given me a 50/50 chance of surviving, but Allah knows better, so I have hope. I wish I could wake up and pray with my best friend and parents every morning, just like I used to, because I know that Ayman will notice my weakness within the next twelve days.

Ayman's parents made the decision to go, and when they asked if he wanted to stay behind or go with them, dad said, "I will stay behind." Ayman grinned, as if they had planned something. His parents then told him to get well, because it had been a long time since our last picnic. When they returned, they told me about my illness, but I told them not to tell Ayman because I knew he would not be able to handle hearing that I had a brain tumor and that I had to have surgery last week, but I had already postponed since they were coming.

"Have dinner with us," Mum's sweet and calm voice interrupted my thoughts, and I smiled.

"Yeah, sure, aunty," he replied, and Mum went to prepare dinner while Dad went to his office, leaving us two in the room.

There was complete silence for a few minutes until I decided to ask him some questions.

"Why did you stay behind?"When I asked, he smiled with a smirk on his handsome face.

Astagfirullah, this guy will make me go crazy!

"Do you really want to know why I stayed back?"He asked, and I nodded, waiting to hear his response about this one.
