"Girl, you know what I'm always saying to you?" Kelly said to me as we sat in our dorm eating and watching TRL.
I rolled my eyes and laughed. Kelly was always saying she was worried I was gonna die alone someday with 16 cats because I haven't dated anyone since Lyndell. What can I say? I'm focused on my goals and most of the men around here don't want a real relationship anyway. "Yes, Kelendria."
She rolled her eyes at me using her full name."So, Giselle, I was just thinking....come on a double date with me and Nelly this weekend."
Kelly and Nelly (adorable right?) have been dating for a couple months now, they got together towards the end of last year but he doesn't live too far from us so they dated all throughout the summer too.
"You know, I would love to but unfortunately I don't have a date to double date with soooo."
"Well lucky for you, your best friend has already thought of that!"
I rolled my eyes. Of course she has.
"Bey, come on, I just want you to have a little fun what is SO wrong with that?"
I thought about it for a second. One date couldn't hurt and it might get Kelly off my back about this for a little while at least. "Ok, ok, who is the guy?"
She smiled big and clapped her hands and I laughed at how excited she was already getting. It really wasn't even a big deal. I planned on going on this little date to make Kelly happy then that was it. "Ok, so he's Nelly's roommate and good friend. His name is Shawn, he's a senior and he's majoring in business."
I thought about. "Alright, just tell me when and where and I be there."
Kelly gave me a big hug and I just laughed at her. "Bey, I'm telling you, I think he's really good for you...I'm not even just saying this because I want you to go on a double date with us!"
I rolled my eyes, "Surrrrrrre Kelly, you just don't want me to die alone like you always saying."

Well, the night of our double date was here and I couldn't lie, I was getting a little nervous. No, it's not supposed to be a big deal, but I haven't been on a date since I dated Lyndell in high school, and that was different because we'd been friends for so long first. I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing going on a blind date. But at least having Kelly and Nelly there will make things more casual. We're going out to eat at a local spot and we told Shawn and Nelly that we would meet them there.
