"No phones in class Ms. Knowles," I heard Jayson say over my shoulder as I took a snapchat. I turned back to look at him and rolled my eyes and smiled. "Shut up," I said playfully. We were sitting in math class and he sat behind me like he usually does.

Our teacher had given us a worksheet to work on and I was done before everyone else so I took the opportunity to snapchat Jayka and my mom and display my boredom.

I laughed and locked my phone and put it away.
"What did you get for number fourteen?" Jayson asked me.
"I'm not just gonna tell you the answer. Come on, you know how to do this. I helped you with that last week," I replied.
"But I don't want to," he shrugged.
"Too damn bad," I said shaking my head.
He looked at the question again. "Ohhhh right, we did do that together last week," he said. "I got this now," he said writing down an answer, making me smile.
"See, you didn't need me to tell you" I said.
We continued our conversation until I heard my teacher clear her throat.
