Beyoncé's POV

Shortly after Shawn left, Skai got home and Kelly, Tim, and Titan were over for breakfast. I didn't have a ton of time before they got here so I just made some scrambled eggs and fruit salad and Kelly brought over bagels.

We were all sitting down to eat when I decided now was a good time to tell Skai about Shawn and I. I tell Kelly everything anyway so I figured I might as well just tell them at the same time.

"So Skai and Kelly, I have something I need to tell you guys," I said. "More so Skai, but Kelly you know I tell you everything anyway."

"I know that's right," Kelly said.

"What's up mama?" Skai asked.

I exhaled, "So last night after your party, your dad came over and we talked about everything...and long story short is we're gonna be together now."

"Yes!" Skai said excitedly while at the same time Kelly said, "Damn it!" and pulled a fifty dollar bill out of her purse and handed it to Skai.

I raised one eyebrow at them, "Excuse me, what is going on here!?"

"I bet Aunt Kelly $50 that you and dad would be together within a month," Skai said smiling smugly.

Kelly rolled her eyes. "And I knew you'd get together eventually but I thought that you'd give him a hard time for a little longer than that."

I chuckled and shook my head at them, "You two are absolutely ridiculous...so Skai, I take that as you're ok with this?"

She smiled, "I am MORE than okay with this."

I smiled too, "Guys, he's taking me out for dinner tonight."

"Look at you all happy like a teenager," Kelly said. "I'm happy for you, Bey."

I nodded. "Thanks, Kelly."

After that we continued to eat our breakfast and just enjoy each other's company. After Kelly and her family left I took a long nap because I needed it after being up almost all night talking with Shawn.

Later that Night

I was finishing getting ready for my date with Shawn when I heard the doorbell ring. "Skai, that's your dad can you get that please?" I called from my room.

"Yeah!" I heard her yell.

In a few minutes I was ready to go and went to go meet Shawn and say goodbye to Skai.

When I came out, Shawn flashed me his big, toothy smile and handed me a bouquet of yellow roses, which are one of my favorite kinds of flowers.

"Baby, you remembered!" I said taking the flowers and smiling. I wrapped my arms around his neck as he put his hands on my hips.

"Of course I remembered," he said before giving me a soft kiss on the lips. "You look beautiful baby."

"Thank you," I said and kissed him again.

"Okay at least wait until I'm out of the room come on," Skai said.

"Oop, my b," I said pulling away from Shawn. I set the flowers down on the table, I'd get them in a vase when I got back later tonight. "Alright baby I'll see you later," I said to Skai giving her a hug.

She gave Shawn a hug too. "Take good care of my mama, I don't wanna have to fight anyone," she said jokingly holding up her fists.

Shawn chucked, "You been talking to your Aunt Solange?"
