Skai's POV
"One more, you guys look so adorable!" my mom said as she took yet another picture of Jayson and I. I just smiled and happily obliged.
We were over at one of Jayson's friend's houses so all of the parents could taking a million pictures of us before we actually go to the prom.
Luckily, Jayka and her boyfriend were here too so I had someone else I knew, since all of Jayson's friends were seniors that I didn't really know too well.
"Okay, I think I have enough pictures," my mom said to me as she put her phone away. "You look so beautiful, baby, have fun tonight," she said smiling with tears in her eyes.
I rolled my eyes and chuckled, "Mom, why are you tearing up?"
"You're just so grown up, I can't take it!"
My dad and I both shook our heads at her, "Ok, you're embarrassing me, time for you to leave." I was only half serious. It was hard for her to truly embarrass me because ever since I was in like, middle school, every girl in my school thought my mom was the coolest, most gorgeous mom ever, and every guy had a huuuuge crush on her.
"I know, I know, I'm sorry." She wiped the tears that were about to fall out of her eyes. "Ok, I'm going now, I love you," she said as she gave me and hug.
"Love you too, mama."
"If he tries anything, I will kill him," my dad whispered in my ear as he hugged me goodbye.
"Uhh, thanks dad?" I said rolling my eyes.
Once they left I turned to Jayson, "Sorry about that, I know they can do the absolute most sometimes."
He smiled, "It's ok, I know they just really love you a lot. And hey, you look absolutely gorgeous tonight," he said and he put his arm around my waist and pulled me close to him. He took me by surprise but putting his lips to mine and kissing me. It was a soft, sweet kiss, but the most amazing kiss I've ever had in my sixteen-year-old life.
"Wow," I said smiling as he pulled away. He returned my smile and kissed me again, only pulling away when we heard one of his friends shout, "Yo, the limo's here!"
He took my hand as we walked together to the limo.

"You have a good time tonight, baby?" Jayson asked as we stepped out of the limo back at his friend's house.
I nodded and smiled. He started calling me baby as the night went on and while he hasn't officially claimed me as his girlfriend yet, it filled my stomach with butterflies every time I heard it so I'll let it go for tonight.
"I had a great time, thank you for taking me."
"Thanks for coming with me," he said before placing a sweet kiss on my lips.
