He felt numb. He didn't know how long he had been laying here or if he was still alive. But there was one thing he knew—he was covered with a ton of rocks.
Suddenly, he heard something. He wasn't alone. Myron slowly looked through a gap between the broken pieces. He was there. Caul was trying to get free, for he was buried too. He slowly made it to the surface, revealing his monstrous appearance.
"We didn't die..." Myron whispered to himself.
His brother crawled out from underneath all the broken pieces and looked around. Caul was searching for him and once he found who he was looking for, he would kill him.
He mumbled something, but Myron couldn't understand it.
Caul tried to stand up, but fell back to the ground. Both of them were too weak to do anything and the air was too thin for them to breathe properly.
He turned away from his brother and stared at the sky. The clouds weren't moving. It seemed like time stood still. Abaton wasn't a loop anymore, time didn't exist here.
When Myron wanted to look back at his brother, he wasn't there anymore. Myron began to panic. He pushed all the rocks aside, slowly making his way out.
He looked around, but nobody was there. Maybe this was all just a dream and he would wake up soon. But then he saw himself in a puddle of soul liquid and he realised that it wasn't. He was still the same person, but at the same time, he was also someone else. Something else. He was half human, half insect, which made him deny the fact, that this wasn't a dream, even more.
But it all happened—they did go to Abaton and he and his brother did turn into dreadful giants.
He stood up, but felt dizzy while he did.
Myron looked around desperately for his brother, but he just wasn't there anymore.
„Jack!" he yelled into the nothingness, but the only thing that replied was his own echo.
Caul couldn't just be gone. The loop got closed, so there is no way for them to escape. But still, he wasn't there.
Myron took five shaky steps forward, trying not to fall over, like his brother did a few seconds before.
He stopped when he saw something light up on the horizon. His eyes followed the white light, which now was all across the sky and ended somewhere in the distance on the ground. Myron's eyes widened. There was a huge hole at the end.
„No..." he said quietly and ran over.
Caul found a way to escape and Myron already knew what was going to happen to Peculiardom, so he went outside, through the hole. Away from Abaton.

(Here are some designs I made for Caul and Myron. I know Caul looks way more different than he is described in the book, but I like to imagine his „god-form" like this)
