Everyone, who was helping rebuilding the fortress, took a break.
Sharon was helping too and now that they stopped working, he walked over to Myron, who was sitting close to the almost-completely-rebuild building."You wanted to ask me something, remember?" Sharon reminded him and grinned at Myron.
Myron's eyes widened. "Yes! Uhm— so about that...do you think we can be...friends again?"
Sharon thought for a moment and scratched his chin. "Yeah. I don't see why not."
"Really?!" Myron asked excitedly and Sharon nodded.
"I always saw the good in you and now, that there really is good in you, I might be able to see it again." Sharon said and took a sip of soda, which Jacob gave to him and told him to try it. After a few seconds, he eyed the bottle with a disgusted look on his face.
"Thank you, Sharon. I highly appreciate that." said Myron and smiled down at him.
Sharon snickered, looking up at him and said: "Highly. Literally."
"Oh my god, Sharon." Myron rolled his eyes and chuckled.
Then they both bursted into laughter.//
Hugh was walking to the forest, which was near to Devil's Acre.
On his way, he saw people helping to fix certain stuff. Even though, horrible things have happened, they all looked happy.
He was happy too, but not too much.
Sure, Caul and his wights were defeated once again, but they have left remains.Something was missing. Someone wasn't here. Fiona.
Hugh went into the forest, hoping he would find her.
For the most of his friends, this seemed impossible, but for him it was his only hope.Everything looked like a normal forest would look like.
Except for this one huge root, right in front him. It reached out and then went back into the ground again.
Next to it was a small flower with white petals.
It reminded him of Fiona.//
It was cold, dark and empty.
The emptiness seemed to nearly crush him.
Different voices came from different directions. Sometimes loud, sometimes quiet.Jack? Are you okay?
I told you to do this, but you can't even do that!
Please stop...
Y-you're scaring me!
Jack, you have to stop this.
Panic begin to grow inside him. The feeling, as if it was a bunch of hands, wrapping around him.
He didn't know where to go. He couldn't see anything.
He struggled and screamed, but it was no use. Nobody was there, nobody who could hear him.But then, a flower appeared in front of him.
It had white petals.
As if the flower was some sort of sign, the voices got quieter and the hands of darkness slowly relinquished their grip around him.
He reached out his hand and touched the small plant.
It faded into thousands of small pieces, disappearing into the air.
