You sat on Colby's bed, legs crossed as you turned on your favorite movie, Grown Ups. It was Colby's favorite too, but he was downstairs filming.
Since you'd already been in last week's video, you didn't really feel like being in this one. You loved being in his videos and filming with him but you just didn't want to today.
You play on your phone for about 10 minutes while you wait for the movie to start, but you hear someone coming up the stairs. It doesn't sound like Sam or Aaron or anyone else in the house.
The door creaks open and you see Colby poke his head in. You smile at him.
He enters the room and stands by the couch. He looks so stressed and tired and worn out and you feel bad.
"Wanna watch this movie with me?" you ask, trying to divert his attention from filming so he can relax a bit.
"I have to finish recording but maybe some other time?" You make a pouty face at Colby.
"Please?"
Colby pauses for a second before answering you.
"Fine princess. I'll watch it." He crawls into the bed and you lay back against a stack of pillows.
A little while after you get into the movie, you see Colby nodding off every few minutes and then waking himself up. He won't let himself fall asleep and keeps trying to stay awake.
He weakly crawls in between your legs and lays his head on your chest. He wraps his arms around your waist and squeezes you tightly.
He starts to mumble something about how he has to go back to recording but you cut him off.
"You're fine baby boy. Don't worry about that right now." He tries to argue but you shut him up with a kiss and he goes quiet. You can hear his breathing begin to slow down as he starts to unwind.
You can see veins popping on his arms and neck from being stressed but they gradually go away and you feel his body go from tense and stiff to relaxed in a matter of minutes.
He falls fast asleep and you continuously run your fingers through his hair to comfort him. He looks so precious when he's sleeping. His floppy brown hair is a mess and his breathing is soft and calm.
After about 30 minutes of watching the movie, Colby's hand starts twitching. You don't think anything of it until you hear Colby whispering something.
"Don't... you can't hurt her... please..." his whispering gets more frantic and he whimpers a little bit. He jolts awake, his eyes brimming with tears.
"Are you okay? Did they hurt you?" Colby asks.
"I'm fine Colby. It was just a dream, okay?" He slowly nods and looks to the side to wipe off the tears.
He lays his head back down and you calmly run your fingers through his hair again. He sniffs a little bit.
"Shhhh, it's alright Colby. Everything's fine. Just go back to sleep," You say, rubbing his back. He falls back asleep and you watch the rest of the movie.
You end up falling asleep too, and neither of you wake up until a few hours later, when it would be too dark to film anyway. Colby finishes filming the next day.
You watch the video after he posts it later that day and see that Colby added a special part.
"Shoutout to my beautiful girl, Y/N, for making sure I took a break yesterday. I wasn't sure if I could finish the video and I was only running on two hours of sleep so I was really exhausted. She made sure I slept for a few more hours and I feel a lot better today. Thanks baby, I love you." Colby then continues on with the rest of the outro, but you find yourself smiling at your phone and realizing how much you love him before you close the video and go downstairs to check up on him.
