abandoned water park

Colby grabbed your skateboard out of the trunk of his car and handed it to you before picking up his own. Sam and Corey got theirs out as well and closed the trunk.
You guys were going exploring in an abandoned waterpark and you all wanted to try skateboarding down at least one of the slides. Sam was in charge of filming since it would be posted to the Sam and Colby channel but every so often he would switch so he could climb something or go get a better look at an object.
You guys sprinted through the empty parking lot and climbed the fence surrounding the old park.
Once you got in, you celebrated for just a second before going to the nearest building. It had a bunch of dusty life preservers and boxes that were covered in spiderwebs. You were uninterested so you decided to find your way to the water slides.
The boys were caught up looking through stuff in the shed so you silently started walking towards the actual waterpark. You walked for about five minutes before coming to the first attraction, a cracked blue and white slide that was half enclosed and half open on the top. It was a pretty tall slide that included a near vertical drop at the beginning.
Moss grew around the steel bolts and shiny spiderwebs decorated the entrance to the enclosed part. You continued walking to the next slide, which was a big red funnel with a splash pool at the end. You walked to the pool part and shined your phone's flashlight at the mucky green water. You frowned and turned off the flashlight before continuing on your solo mission.
You got deeper into the park and had been gone for about fifteen minutes already, just enjoying the silence and the mysterious feel of the place. You started to wonder if you should go back to the boys but you figured they could catch up. You went to a pink slide with a glass top that looked to be home to a raccoon or other small animal and peeked inside to see little muddy claw prints following the direction of the slide. You let out a little laugh and hopped down.
By now, twenty minutes had passed so you were leaned up against the red slide, still waiting for the boys.
You decided to walk back since it didn't seem like they were coming.
Once you got there, you found them at the shed. Colby was leaning his back up against the shed and both corey and Sam were standing on either side of him.
"We"ll find her, okay? I bet she's fine," Sam tried to reassure Colby by putting a hand on his shoulder and crouching down beside him.
"Uh, guys?"
Corey gasps at the sound of your voice and shines the light on you. You squint and lean your skateboard against a rock nonchalantly.
"Where the hell have you been?" Corey says, laughing. Sam smiles and Colby just shakes his head.
"Figured I'd go look around while you bitches were hung up on those boxes."
This makes Colby start to laugh as well.
"She just went out in the dark in an abandoned waterpark ON HER OWN," Corey says, pointing at you and filming.
"I mean I could still see just fine." You gesture up at the bright moon and laugh. Sam shakes his head.
"Colby, you need to watch out for her. Your girlfriend is a confirmed demon." He nervously laughs a little and picks up his board. He walks over to you and holds your hand. You pick up your board.
"I'm not doubting you on that. She's freakishly comfortable in the dark and sometimes her eyes kinda get a really scary look in them."
He smirks at the camera and kisses you before everyone starts walking into the park as a group.
"And another thing that makes her a demon is that she can do shit like this and be unfazed by it. Like she made it this far on her own and thought nothing of it but since we made it past the gates I've been incredibly nervous about this place."
Corey and Sam hold up finger crosses at you and back away. You laugh and so does Colby.
You guys make it to the pink slide with the glass top and pause for a second. Across from the raccoon slide is a yellow slide. It wasn't very tall and only had a couple of turns. You let go of Colby's hand and start walking towards it so you can go try it out with your skateboard.
"Where are you going?" Colby yells after you, still standing with the boys.
You hold your board over your head and laugh. Almost immediately they're right at your heels, trailing you like little puppies.
You climb up the four flights of stairs and set your board down at the slide entrance.
"Don't get hurt, okay? Please don't," says Colby worriedly. You kiss him to calm him down and step onto the board.
You push yourself forward and find that it's easier than skateboarding on flat ground because it's like following a track. You don't have to turn at all and the slant of the slide keeps your momentum going.
At the end of the slide, there's a little hop off and then a few stairs to get down to ground level. You jump the stairs and land it. You can hear Corey go "DAYUUUUM Y/N GOT SKILLS!"
You laugh and step on the back of your board to stop it.
The boys chicken out and just run down the slide instead. You laugh.
You all walk to the next slide, but it is kinda far away.
"Y/N, do a cool trick!" Corey sounds like a little kid as he begs you to show off. You laugh again and toss your board down. You push it and run and jump on top of it. You do a little kick flip and right as you land, you hit a small piece of broken glass. Your board flips and you fall hard.
You think it's alright but you now realize how bad of a fall that was. You don't want to move for fear that something is broken.
In seconds, Colby is crouched at your side. Sam and Corey are behind him.
You stand up slowly, using his shoulder to steady you. You look up at the sky so you don't have to see what happened yet.
Your grab your wrist just as the pain starts to set in. Your hands all of a sudden feel strangely warm.
You look at Colby and slowly let go of your wrist. You look at your hand.
     It's covered in blood.
You feel excruciating pains in your wrist and more in your elbow. You look down at your arm and it too is coated in blood.
Corey clicks on the flashlight and shines it on you. He points the camera at you as well. They all gasp. You look at Colby with wide eyes and back down at your arm.
You hear Sam whisper oh my god and cover his mouth.
Blood is drizzling out of several places on your arms with the biggest wound being on your left shoulder. You put your hand to your wrist again and felt something cut your fingertip deep. You reel back and look again before realizing that there were jagged pieces of glass sticking out of your skin.
"There's broken glass all over the pavement. She landed on it," Sam says.
Blood is pooling up at your feet as it drips from your hands. It streams down your arms.
Colby cautiously walks towards you, not sure what to do. Both of your arms are studded with glass shards and sliced open in various places, and from where they ripped into your skin is where all the blood is coming from.
You look up at Colby and see fear filling his eyes.
     "We have to go. Now."
He picks up your board and you grab hold of your wrist, not caring that it was tearing open your hand as well. You knew it was definitely broken. You could feel part of the bone in a place it shouldn't be.
Once you got to the car, Colby sat you down against the car door and frantically looked through the trunk to try to find something that could help.
Sam tried to comfort you as best as he could but you were in an incredible amount of pain. Your hand was almost split right in half from the piece of glass in your wrist.
Colby helped you to your feet and poured water on your arms, starting at your shoulder. It burned and the blood only washed away for a second.
"Corey, you gotta get us to a hospital. Sam, give him directions and I'll sit in the back with her."
Colby picked you up and sat in the backseat with you in his lap. Blood was all over the floor of the car and on Colby's shirt but he didn't care.
There was a plastic bag that was catching most of the blood that was dripping. You tasted blood in your mouth as well, and you looked up at Colby with watery eyes.
He took his thumb and wiped away the blood from a cut under your right eye.
"You're gonna be alright. Everything will be fine."
Once you got to the hospital, the blood flow had slowed down drastically. You feel a bit lightheaded.
Colby carries you inside and the nurse gasps upon seeing you.
"She fell in some glass when she was skateboarding. We need to see someone right now."
The nurse led the four of you down to the E.R. You were quickly taken into a room and a doctor came in.
     "Are you her boyfriend?"
"Yeah." Colby set you down on the table very gently.
"You can stay in here if you want but the rest of you have to go to the waiting room."
Sam and Corey went to the waiting room and shut the door. Colby nervously pulled a chair up next to the table and sat down.
     "What happened?"
"I was- we were skateboarding, a-and she was in front of us. She fell and landed in a bunch of broken glass." Colby was stuttering and he kept looking at you.
The doctor looked you over and put on some gloves to start trying to fix things. Colby held your right hand, potentially the only part of your arms that wasn't covered in glass.
"Her wrist is broken and we have to get the glass out."
     Colby looks at the doctor.
"What do you mean we have to get the glass out?"
"I have to take all the glass out of her arm before I can do anything else."
"Is it going to hurt her?"
     You weakly looked at Colby.
"I hate to say this but it's going to hurt pretty bad."
Colby nods slowly. The doctor starts pulling shards out of your arms. You squeeze Colby's hand as hard as you can whenever he rips out a new piece.
When he tears out the biggest piece of glass, you scream with your mouth closed and dig your nails into the back of his hand before you feel yourself starting to cry silently.
"Baby, it's okay. You're okay. I know it hurts but you're almost done."
He takes out the last few pieces and takes you over to the sink where he starts washing the blood off your arms.
He dries them and you see all the fresh cuts now marring your arms. None of them were bleeding anymore except for the biggest cut, which was about three centimeters deep and two inches across.
You sit on the table again.
"She'll need stitches in her hand and her shoulder. Her wrist needs to be set and she's going to need a lower arm cast." Colby sighs and nods.
"And you're not gonna like this but I'm going to have to get a nurse in here to help with this."
Colby looks confused.
"Which means you'll have to go."
Those are the words he didn't want to hear. Slowly he stands up, still holding your hand. He says goodbye to you and backs away from the table.
"You did good son. She'll be okay." Colby reluctantly walks out into the hallway and closes the door behind him.
—COLBY'S POV—
I closed the door and went out into the hallway. I slid down onto the floor, my back against the wall.
She needed me. I could feel it. I didn't want to leave her. It took everything in me not to walk back in there.
I sat with my head in my hands, worrying. Soon, Corey and Sam came from the waiting room and sat on either side of me.
"Is she alright?" Sam asks, looking at Corey nervously.
"I don't know."
There's a long pause before Sam puts his arm around my shoulders.
"How did I let this happen?"
Sam and Corey exchange glances over my back.
"It's not your fault Colby. None of us knew it was going to happen."
"Yeah man, don't blame yourself. She's gonna be fine," Sam says, standing up.
"Listen. Let's go to the gift shop and get her something. It might make her feel better after she gets out." He helps me up and we all walk to the gift shop. I still have her blood on my shirt and get weird looks from people on the way down there.
At the gift shop, I look around for a while and find a cute little stuffed dog with a wrinkly face and show Sam before paying for it.

When I get back, the door was still shut. I slowly paced up and down the hallway in front of the door. Sam and Corey sit on the floor and watch me pace.
After about fifteen minutes, the nurse comes out and tells me I can come in.
—Y/N'S POV—
You were so relieved to see Colby. The stitches were hurting a lot and your wrist hurt even more but you were glad it was over. You were allowed to sit up and Colby sat in the chair again.
"The stitches will dissolve on their own in about 4 weeks so just be careful with them. Your wrist is broken pretty bad so it could take a couple months at least for it to heal completely. Other than that you're good to go." You thank the doctor and he leaves the room.
"I got this for you," Colby says quietly. He sets a bag on your lap and you put your stitched-up hand in the bag. You pull out a little stuffed bulldog puppy and laugh.
"I love it."
He smiles and helps you off the table. You go up to the front desk with him and Colby pays for everything before you all go back out to the car.
Colby sits in the back, next to you and Corey drives you all home. You have a camo outer layer on your cast, which you thought was kind of cool.
"When we get home, you all have to sign my cast."
Everyone laughs at that and you lay your head on Colby's shoulder. He puts his arm around you and you fall asleep quickly after.
