A/N:  Just for clarification here are a few facts about Nagas:

- They smell by tasting the air

- They do hiss on the letter 's'

- They are cold-intolerant

Prologue

'[name], to you my relative, I leave this cabin that is on the edge of the woods.  Please be careful and take good care of the cabin.'  The will said.  And with that, you decided to move to your now dead relative's cabin that they left you in their will.

But as soon as you moved there, you couldn't help but feel as though you were being watched.

You tried to brush off this feeling, but it just seemed to become ever more present as time passed till one day you walked outside and saw it;

A being that half human, with a long snake-like tail, with eyes staring right at you.

And of course, your first thought is;

'A rather handsome Naga, isn't he?'

And with that, an interesting, and odd relationship, incomprehensible to normal humans, began.

Let's see how this goes...

America

"Hmm...  This is a no-go,"  You said with a sigh as you tasted the meat stew you were making for Alfred and yourself.  "This terrible, I totally ruined the meat."

'What will I do for dinner?'  You wondered as you heard the back door open.  You looked over and saw Alfred slither in.

"What'ssss up dudette?"  Alfred said, hissing on his 's'.

"Nothing much Alfred,"  You said.  Alfred bobbed over to you, wiggling his tail in the air as he peeked behind you.

"Whatcha cooking?"  Alfred asked, making you sigh again.

"It was supposed to be our dinner but - Alfred!  Don't eat that!"  You said, just now noticing Alfred putting a spoonful of the stew into his mouth.

"But you sssaid it wasss our dinner?"  Alfred said.

"I know but I messed up the meat so it doesn't taste good!"  You said, feeling frazzled.  Alfred just tilted his head.

"What are you talking about?  Thisss tassstesss pretty good to me."  Alfred said.

"Eh?"  You looked into the stew and took the spoon from Alfred, trying it again only to gag.  "It tastes terrible!"

"To you,"  Alfred said, taking another spoonful.

"Why does it taste good to you?  Do you just have no sense of taste?"  You asked sarcastically.

"Yep,"  Alfred said.  "Nagasss, like sssnakesss, have a bad sssenssse of tassste.  Lotsss of carnivoresss have a pretty weak sssenssse of tassste.  That'sss why we like meat in general."  Alfred explained, continuing to eat his stew.
