~A year later~

"Ross, I thought we talked about this." I sigh pulling at my roots. "Yes we did, but that doesn't mean I'm okay with it. Baby, I barely get to see you. You're either not home or you're asleep when I get home."

It's been a tough year. I had our daughter on September 23rd, a little after both of us started college and we've been having some trouble adjusting. We decided to name her Marley Evans Lynch, she's almost a year old. Ross picked out her name.

"Lucky for you, school is almost over and you'll have me all to yourself again." I smile and press my lips to his before we hear Marley crying in the other room. "I thought you put her down for bed already?" I groan wanting a break from life. "Well, your daughter is a light sleeper." He pecks my lips and walks away, I lay on the bed and sigh.

Once we had Marley we made a deal that we wouldn't let anything get in the way of our accomplishments or our daughter, so we made an arrangement. Ross would be with Marley in the morning while I'm at school and I'd have her during the evening so he can take his classes then.

It was working fine at first until our tight schedule got in the way of being able to spend time together.

A few seconds later Ross comes back and lays next to me. "How about we go out this weekend?" He asks me kissing my neck. "Mm, sounds nice but who's going to babysit Marley?" I snuggle into his chest and close my eyes.

"We'll figure it out. Goodnight baby." I feel him kissing my forehead before I fall asleep.

~Next morning~

I wake up to find the bed empty, I check the time to see it's eight in the morning. I walk over to Marley's room to find her awake and playing with Ross.

"Good morning." I smile at both of them leaning on the door frame. "What are you two up to?" I walk toward them and kiss them both on the cheek.

Ross spends more time with Marley than I do. When Marley was younger I used to cry myself to sleep when she would cry until Ross got her, I thought I was doing something wrong but now I know it's because he has her most of the day.

"She woke up about an hour ago but I wanted to let you sleep in so I got her and now she won't stop giggling." He kisses my lips and I smile into the kiss.

"Well, it's time to eat, baby."I pull away and look at my smiling daughter. "Yes!" Ross says and I roll my eyes sitting next to both of them. "Not you, dork." I grab Marley from Ross and slightly pull my shirt up to breastfeed her. "I'll be downstairs making you some breakfast." He kisses my lips and walks out the door. "Thank you." I smile at him.

"How's my baby girl?" I direct my attention to my daughter as I feed her. "Daddy takes good care of you, doesn't he?" I smile caressing her small cheek.

After a while, she finishes and I walk downstairs with her in my arms. "So I was thinking we can go out for lunch this afternoon." Ross places the plate of hash browns and toast on the table. "I'd love that." I smile and pull him closer to kiss him. The kiss soon gets interrupted by Marley tugging at Ross' shirt.

He grabs her so I can eat and sits next to me. "To think, I used to be the only one to tug your shirt like that." I pout and he laughs. "I used to be the only one sucking your tits but that changed." He whispers in my ear and I choke on the food I have in my mouth.

"I hate you." I chug the glass of water and he laughs. "No you don't, I have to run some errands I'll pick both of you up at 1:30." He says and I nod.

He puts Marley in her high chair and kisses me before saying, "I love you." And leaving.

Once I finish eating I grab Marley and head to the living room. I grab my phone and text Alice, one of my closest friends in college, to come over with her sons Landon and Nick.

Landon and Marley were born on the same day and we've made them inseparable.

We were now in the backyard of my house, Landon and Marley playing in the little jungle gym with 2-year-old Nick, and we talked about life while watching the kids.

"You should take Ross up on his offer. It could be fun." Alice laughs and I smile shaking my head. "Trust me, I'd love to but there's nobody that can babysit Marley for the whole weekend. My parents are out of town and my brother is living the college party life."

"I'll do it." She shrugs her shoulders.

"I'm home!" I hear Ross from the kitchen before I can reject Alice's offer. "Outside," I shout back and Alice shakes her head. "Well, I have to go. Please think about it, it'll be good for both of you." I nod and she smiles. "Nick let's go bud." She says as Ross walks out.

"Hey, Alice." He smiles hugging her. "Hey, Ross." She smiles back. "I'll see you guys later." She grabs Landon, waves us goodbye, and leaves.

"How's my beautiful girlfriend?" He pulls me from my seat to sit on his lap. "I'm good." I giggle as he nips on the skin of my neck. "I missed you" He detaches his lips from my neck to kiss my lips hungrily. I immediately kiss him with twice the hunger.

We've been so busy, we barely have time for ourselves. I miss his touch on my skin, the way his lips mold perfectly against mine. I miss how he makes me feel when he looks at me or when he embraces me.

"I have a reservation at your favorite place," he mumbles and smiles into the kiss. I pull away and smile at him. Maybe I will take Alice up on her offer. "Let's go," I say excitedly getting off his lap and grabbing Marley. I go inside grab my bag and walk to the car.

I put Marley in her car seat and got in the car myself. A few minutes later Ross gets in the car shaking his head. "You're a dork." He starts the car and we head out to lunch.

"So I was thinking, maybe we can go out for the weekend," I say playing with the rings on his fingers. "Yes!" He squeezes my thigh and laughs. "Alice convinced me and offered to look after Marley." He smiles and does a stupid happy dance making both me and Marley laugh.
