Chapter 16

"Ashley and Ross please come up and show the class what you have." Mr. Rogers motions us to step up. We were currently outside testing out our projects to see if they worked. We both step up and do our presentation.

"After a long time of figuring out how aerodynamics work and the materials we needed to make something fly. This is what we came up with." I say motioning to the plane that Ross was setting up on the ramp.

Once he had it settled he looked at me to start the count. "1...2...3!" I say and he pushes it down. Just like at my house the plane flew for a while and then landed perfectly on the ground.

"Good job guys. Do you have your research paper?" Mr. Rogers asks us, I nod and hand him our paper. He skims through it quickly and then looks up, nodding in approval.

~after class~

"Yes! We got an A." I cheer as we all walk out of class. "how the hell did you get a perfect 100%?" Ryland asks in disbelief. "I study. Something you two should try sometime." I say sarcastically at Ryland and my brother.

"And how did you get Mister Badass over here to do the thing?" Andy laughs still not believing that Ross tried and accomplished something school-related.

"That was pretty hard to do." I giggle. "Hey!" Ross frowned playfully and we all laughed until Mackenzie came up to the group. "Hi, Ross!" She says with her annoying high-pitched voice clinging onto Ross.

"Mackenzie, get off of me." He says pushing her off and tightening his grip on me. "How did you two get the highest score in the whole class?" She lifts an eyebrow and looks at me. "Ashley knows her stuff," Savannah says and Mackenzie rolls her eyes.

"I will make the rest of the year miserable for you." She growls at me and I laugh. "Good luck with that."

"Ugh!! I don't like you." She spits at my face. "I'm glad we are on the same page." I give her a fake smile. "See you later Mackenzie!" I wave off and she stomps away in the other direction.

The guys walk us to our class and agree to meet me and Savannah at my locker after school.

~the next day~

It is finally Friday. I had a long day at school and I just want to go home.

Finally, the bell rings, and the girls and I head to our lockers. When we walk to Savannah and my locker the boys are already there waiting for us.

"Hey, gorgeous." Ross smiles wrapping his arm around my waist and pressing his lips to mine. I wrap my arms around his neck and smile into the kiss. "Hi." I pull away smiling.

"I'll see you guys tomorrow," I announce and they all wave bye. "I'll walk you to your car," Ross says and I smile. "Thank you." He swings his arm over my shoulder and we walk outside. While walking I noticed Mackenzie's car was right next to mine and she was surrounded by guys.

"How the hell am I getting my car out now?" I groan. "I'll get it for you if you'd like." He says and I smile. "Thank you." I hand him my keys and kiss his cheek. He leaves and I lean against a wall to wait for him.

"Hey, sexy." Someone whispers in my ear and I freeze in place. I turned around slowly and saw Lucas, the captain of the football team, smirking at me.

"What do you want?" I ask annoyed. "I want you," he whispers in my ear as his hand goes down to my ass.

"Get off of me!" I push him off

"Ooh, you're one of the feisty ones. I like it." He presses his lips on my neck and I push him off again wanting him to leave me alone.

"Lucas I believe she told you to leave her the fuck alone!" Ross pushes him off me and slams him to the wall.

"Chill Ross, we're just having some fun," Lucas smirks, Making him receive a punch in the face.

"Let me find out or even see you trying to get at her and I won't hesitate to kill you," Ross growls pushing him hard to the wall, making him fall. "Go fuck with some other girl, not mine." He then turns to me and takes a deep breath.

"Are you okay babe?" He asks in a calm tone moving a few strands of hair out of my face. I nod my head and he presses his lips to me.

"I'm the only one that can touch you like that." He mumbles into the kiss and squeezes my ass. We kiss for a few more seconds until his phone rings. It was a text from Carter saying the coach was looking for him.

"I better go. I'll see you later, okay?" He creases my cheek and I nod. "Okay." I smile and he walks me to my car. He grabs my face kisses my lips again then leaves.

When I arrived I went up to my room and started doing my homework. 2 hours later I was all done so I decided to just watch some Netflix. I was in the middle of a movie when I received a phone call from Jocelyn.

J- hey Ash, sorry to bother you but can you do me a favor?

A- You're fine, What's up?

J- so I kind of want to surprise Andy by showing up at practice but I'm scared to go alone. Would you mind going with me?

A- of course. That'll give me a chance to surprise Ross too. I'll go get you in 20 minutes is that good?

J- yeah, thank you for doing this with me.

I changed into something more appropriate since I was in gym shorts and a tank top. I left my gray tank top on changed my shorts into black Adidas joggers and put on my white Adidas low tops.

I brushed my blue hair a little and when I finally thought I looked decent I went to pick up Jocelyn from her house. "Hey, girl." She says as she gets in my car and hugs me.

"Hey." I smile and start driving off to school. We had a small talk here and there and jammed out to a couple of songs until we finally reached the school.

We walked in and went into the ice rink. It was 10 minutes before six so they should be finishing up.

We went in and the guys were high-fiving each other. We didn't want to interrupt so we sat on the bleachers and waited until Carter got the boy's attention. They turned around and when they saw us they smiled and skated in our direction.

"Hey babe what are you doing here?" He asked kissing me. "Jocelyn had the great idea to surprise Andy so I came along to surprise you." I smile up at him.

"You're so cute. Thanks." He pecked my lips.

"You want to come over to my house and watch a movie?" I asked and he nodded. "Yeah give me 10 minutes so I can shower." I nod and he kisses me walking to the boy's locker room.
