~a week later~

I remember when I met you I didn't want to fall
I felt my hands were shaking because you looked so beautiful
I remember when you kissed me I knew you were the one
And oh, my hands were shaking
When I played your favorite song
I don't know why but every time I look into your eyes
I see a thousand falling shooting stars
And yes I love you
I can't believe that every night you're by my side
Promise I'll stay here until the morning and pick you up when you're falling

I read and I can't help the smile forming on my lips.

Meet me at the lake tonight at 8, I'll be waiting. -R

I read the last part and shoved the paper in my bag as I walked to my first period with Savannah and Cameron.

"Are you going to go?" Savannah asks wiggling her eyebrows. "I don't know, should I?" I look at the two girls. "I think you should. He feels bad about what he did." Cameron nods in agreement. "Plus he's been giving you time and space for the past month. He seems like he's going crazy without you." She giggles and I shake my head coping with her action.

"Did she get it?" I ask Savannah walking towards Her locker when I see that Ashley has left home. "Is she going?"

"She read it and is thinking about it, she had a big smile on her face when she left, maybe she will, I don't know." She says and closes her locker. "I have everything ready. Do you think she'll call you if she does decide to go? Do you think she'll go?"

"You know, I liked you better when you fucked girls for fun." She says and I can tell she's a little annoyed. "No, you didn't." I shake my head. "You're right, you're just as annoying with a girlfriend." She rolls her eyes and walks away.

When I got home I went straight to my room to start on homework and avoid the usual 'How are you feeling?' From my parents.

When I open the door to my room the first thing that catches my eye is a box on my bed. I walk towards it to find a note attached.

I hope you show up, here's something for the occasion. -R

I smile and open the box to reveal the red dress I wore to prom. I still haven't decided if I should go or not, but I'm very curious as to what he has planned.

We haven't talked much since I showed up at his dad's house. The only communication we have had is in psychics about our physics project, we got paired up again because we did so well together last time.

After finishing my homework I decided to get ready to meet Ross at the lake, I'm going.

I shower, blow-dry, and curl my hair, leave my glasses on, put makeup on, and lastly my red dress. Once I finish getting ready I get into my car and drive off to the lake.

When I get there I see a rose pedal path with fairy lights leading to the edge. I follow it to find Ross sitting there with his feet in the water.

"Hey," I say grabbing his attention. "You came!" He stands and walks towards me. "I came." I smile at his twinkling eyes. "I uhm wanted to apologize to you when I first noticed how beautiful you are." He raised his hand to caress my cheek.

"And if I forgive you would it give you an okay to do something like that again?" I ask looking into his eyes and trying to read him. "I promise." He leans closer and presses his lips to mine. "I won't even think of doing anything like that again." He pulls away from the kiss. "And to prove it." He reaches into his jacket pocket to reveal a black velvet box.

"I promise to never hide anything from you, to be extremely loyal to the point it annoys you." He chuckles and I smile. "but I promise to love you until I die because I can't live without you." He opens the box and my eyes fill with tears.

"This is a promise that I will never do anything stupid ever again." He slides the ring, a beautiful burgundy-colored stone, into my ring finger. "Will you please forgive me? Please?"

"I'll forgive you, but you're going to have to work extra hard to gain my trust back." I look up at him to see the biggest smile on his face. "I'll do anything if it means I get you back." He leans down and kisses me hungrily, and I kiss him back almost immediately.

"I tried to recreate prom in our place since the real one got ruined." He pulls away and wraps his arm around my waist. "It's beautiful," I tell him admiring how he decorated. Flower petals were on the grass, fairy lights tangled on the trees, and sunflowers lay on a picnic blanket near the edge.

"Just like you." He smiles down at me and I look up at him smiling back. "Would my queen like to dance?" He holds out his hand referring to being prom king and queen. He takes out his phone putting on Stay by Rhianna.

I lay my hand on him as he sways us back and forth to the song.

"I want to start over, take you on a few dates before I ask you to be my girlfriend but, would you move back into our house?" He asks kissing my forehead. Oh, how I missed those.

"Wouldn't that be defeating the whole purpose?" I giggle. "Yes, but I haven't slept in two weeks and by the amount of makeup you have on and the little attention you give in class, I can tell you haven't either." He spins me around. "Plus I want to hold you until my arms fall off." He pecks my lips as we continue dancing.

"I missed your dorky humor." I smile widely. "I missed your beautiful smile." He kisses me, this time a little bit needier.

"Ross," I mumble after a while, placing my hands on his chest and lighting breaking us apart. "Did you miss me that much?" I cheekily questioned, already knowing the answer and he chuckled. "You have no idea." He tightens his grip on me and guides me to the blanket.

As soon as we are both laid on the blanket his lips are on mine. "Okay, Ross. You have to let me breathe." I pull away breathing heavily. "It's been so long." He moves his lips to my neck sucking hard. "How about we go home." I nod moaning when I feel his hard erection rub against me.
