"Listen, I know it's a bit risky, but-"
"A bit? Just a bit?" Taehyung asked Jimin, stressfully running a hand across his face. "Jimin, I'm gonna say this once, and only once, so listen carefully. There is no way in hell I'm letting you go into that place again just to watch the coronation, even if I'm there with you."
He plopped down on the grass and frowned while closing his eyes, trying not to yell at Jimin for the stupidity of his idea. "Well, why not?! I could blend it easily and you'd just have to be invisible and watch out for me!"
Taehyung barked a sarcastic laugh and "wiped" fake tears of laughter out of his eyes. "Right, because a boy with pink hair wouldn't draw any attention to himself whatsoever in court. Not to mention you'd probably blend in perfectly with all your knowledge of etiquette, wouldn't you? And it goes without saying that you'd need very expensive and very fancy clothes to blend in as well. Where are you planning to get that, hm?"
The boy with pink hair groaned loudly in annoyance and contorted his lips into a pout. "Would it kill you to be nicer once in a while?"
"If I were to be nice right now, I'd only be feeding your hopes that everything will be alright if you show yourself to everyone at the palace. I'm only protecting you from yourself."
Jimin brings his legs up to his chest and restes his chin on his knees. "Why do people keep thinking I need to be saved from myself? I'm not a child anymore!"
"No, you're not, but you're just as reckless and naive as you were when we were younger. But it's not necessarily something bad, at least not always," he added as he laid eyes on a sulking Jimin.
"No?" He asked weakly, and Taehyung gave him a boxy smile and shook his head.
"But you still can't go to the palace."
And Jimin just kicked his feet up in the air, throwing a tantrum like a child. "I take back what I said before," Taehyung sounded exasperated. "You're not going to the palace, and that's that! If they catch you, you'll get your head chopped off."
Upon the horrible realization of truth, Jimin stopped wailing like a child and started picking grass out of the ground, feeling the need to punch something. Without another word, Taehyung left Jimin by himself.
The young fairy sat there, looking completely woebegone with glassy eyes, because he was just that much of a crybaby, until an idea came to his head.
Hoseok. Hoseok was the solution to his problems.
Said young man was a witch- and one of the few witches who were actually half fairy-who was rather good at making potions, some of which were even dangerous or powerful. He knew how to brew each and every single potion that one could think of, even a forgetfulness potion.
