Jimin was still mildly overwhelmed by what had just happened a few hours earlier. He and Yoongi hadn't had a chance to talk about the latter's confession, for Jimin had been escorted back to gardens to avoid any rumors from rising.

However, it was useless.

Word got around fast, and the servants didn't even bother to hide their curiosity whenever they crossed paths with Jimin around the palace grounds. Still, Jimin couldn't care less.

He went about his day as usual, trimming leaves, watering plants and digging holes. It was hot and his shirt was sticking to his skin uncomfortable, nonetheless, the smile on his face could not be wiped off.

Yoongi's words replayed in his head like a broken record. Admittedly, he felt bad for Seoyun, because she was just as trapped as Yoongi. She wasn't free to choose which paths she wanted to follow, but it was obvious she would do anything for her country's sake. There was no way Jimin could do anything but admire a woman like that.

Vaguely, he wondered if she had ever loved anyone but left them behind, just to pursue a loveless marriage.

"Taehyung! Guess what-!" Jimin leaves his sentence unfinished, seeing that Taehyung is not alone. Standing right by his side is Jin,  who's gaze is harsh and judgmental as he sets upon Jimin.

Jimin tries to meet Taehyung's eyes, but the latter doesn't allow it; he's fixed his eyes on the dark wooden floor of the small house.  The pink haired fairy looks at him imploringly. 'What did you do?', he thinks, and as if he'd gotten the message telepathically, Taehyung brings his knees up to his chest and hides his face behind them in shame.

  "Jimin, we need to talk."

"I said I don't want to hear anything you have to say about Yoongi!" Jimin slams the door shut behind him, and Jin bursts it open just as soon as it had closed, following the younger fairy outside.

"This isn't about wether you want to listen or not, it's about what you need to realize before you give your heart out to him!"

Little did Jin know, it was too late for that now.

Jimin tensed up and stopped walking. "Why do you care?"

Jin looked offended as he took Jimin by the wrist and whipped him around. "I don't want you or anyone here to get hurt."

The younger fairy scoffed in disbelief. "What is it with everyone and their fear of humans? They're harmless!"

"Harmless? That's what you think?" Jimin nodded stubbornly, and Jin decided that if his boy was incapable of realizing the danger he was getting himself into, he would have to be the one to show him.

Jin dragged Jimin into one of the tunnels built around their land, paying no mind to the efforts the younger fairy put into trying to get away from Jin. No matter how much he pulled back, dug his heels into the ground, or tried to slap away Jin's hands, the older would not let go. Jin was much taller and stronger, after all, so Jimin knew right from the start his efforts to get away had been in vain.

When Jin finally lets of the pink haired male, they were standing in the middle of a small public square, where a crowd of at least sixty people was gathered around in a circle. They were yelling furiously and rabidly, pushing each other and trying to get past the guards keeping them in line like animals.

Jimin rubbed his now red wrist while looking around, brows furrowed. "Why did you bring me here?"

"Because you need to see the cruelty humans are capable of for yourself, otherwise, you might not believe me."

Jimin turned away, but Jin did not let him run off. He gripped Jimin's wrist again and pulled him into the crowd, and of course, no one even noticed how the two were pushing their way over to the front. They even managed to get past the guards.

Jimin then wished the guards had pushed them back into the crowd, for the sight before him made ice run through his veins and his heart drop to the floor.

A woman that seemed to be around thirty was tied against a pole, her face bony and pale and filled with terror. Her mouth was covered by a piece of cloth, yet it barely did any work at silencing her cries. She kept squirming even though she knew there was no way to escape the terrible fate that awaited her. There was wood below her feet, wood that would soon be lit.

Before Jimin had a chance to part his lips, Jin placed him before him and held him done by the shoulders. A man in a uniform then called out to the crowd, and with a lit torch, he yelled out "This woman has committed terrible acts against God! She has been practicing black magic and demanding payment for such services! She's a sinner, and now, she must face the punishment for her acts!"

The crowd cheered as the man declared "You shall burn in the bowels of hell!". He held the torch up against the wood below the woman's feet and lit it on fire, making the crowd cheer even louder.

Jimin tried to turn away, but Jin wouldn't let him move.

"S-stop! I don't want to see this! Make it stop!" he shrieked, feeling his eyes sting with tears as the woman emitted a shrill scream that sent chills down his spine.

Behind him, the public kept shouting out fanatical screams, apparently being quite content with the sight of a woman being burnt alive before their eyes. There were even children watching.

When Jimin broke down into sobs, Jin finally let him look away  and bury his face in the older's chest. The woman was still burning, but there were no more screams or cries being heard.

"I've been trying to tell you, Jimin," Jin spoke as the flames consumed the sinner's lifeless body. "This is what could happen to you if Yoongi were to find out what you truly are. Playing with tarot cards is enough to get you killed, so what would happen if your beloved Yoongi found out you're a creature of magic?"

Jimin shook his head frantically. "H-he wouldn't, Yoongi wouldn't do that. That's not like him."

Jin heaved a sad sigh. "Jimin, who's laws do you think are being imposed upon this poor woman? None other than the king's, and as it happens, Yoongi is said king." He takes Jimin's face into his hands. "Something bad is bound to happen if you and Yoongi keep seeing each other, so take my advice: erase him from your mind. Wipe away your memories by magical means if it comes to that. Just stay away. I'm not gonna lose you to humans."
