Unfortunately for him, he had to wait for Yoongi until the sunset that evening. Just when he had been thinking of going back home because it seemed pointless to wait any longer, Yoongi sneaked up from behind him and dragged him into the maze, using the thick green walls to hide both of them from sight.
"You came!" Jimin whispered excitedly, a smile forming on his plump lips. Yoongi couldn't stop himself from smiling back.
"I'm sorry for taking so long, but it was necessary for me to attend to some serious matters before trying to sneak out."
"Oh, you mustn't feel the need to apologize, Your Majesty. You are, after all, a king, and I shouldn't even be expecting you to show up." Said the fairy boy.
"Please, there's no need to be so formal when we're alone, Jimin." Yoongi said, taking a nice blue cloak from a bag hanging loosely around his waist. "Wear this, we don't want anyone to recognize us." He draped it over Jimin and secured it around his neck, pulling out a black one for himself afterwards. "And remember to pull on the hood," the king added.
"Where are we going, Sire?" said Jimin, trying not to be so formal but not too causal either.
"You'll see when we get there, but first, we've need to get horses."
"H-horses?" Jimin stuttered, unable to hide his surprise. "But Sire, I don't know how to ride one!"
"I said I would teach you, didn't I? Well, today we start with your first lesson, horseback riding." He grasped Jimin's sleeve and dragged him out of the maze, avoiding the few servants that were left in the garden now.
Finally, the two arrived at the stables, were there stood four horses standing before them. Yoongi let go of Jimin's sleeve and walked towards a black stallion, who neighed and tried to get closer to Yoongi, looking very happy to see him.
"He's beautiful," Jimin whispered, making his way over to the king and his stallion, reaching out to brush a hand against the beautiful, black, shiny horse. Much to Yoongi's surprise, the horse leaned into Jimin's touch and neighed again, making Jimin giggle.
"Huh, he doesn't really like it when strangers try to touch him, but he doesn't seem to mind you. Actually, it looks like he...likes it."
