"You can't keep him asleep forever, Jimin. And I can't keep providing you the sleeping potions. Spring is almost over, and the ingredients I need to brew one single vial are growing scarcer by the second."

Jimin pulled was pulling at his hair so hard that Hoseok was afraid he would pull it out. In fact, he'd been doing it so much during the past week that Hoseok wouldn't have been surprised if the fairy's scalp started bleeding.

"I just need more time to figure out what to tell him, I need more time, that's all." Jimin teared his eyes away from his lover. His cheeks were hallow and pale, but he'd stopped stirring and groaning all the time, and his fever had disappeared.

Yoongi's health had improved immensely during the past few days, but even so, it was painful to look at him. Because it was torturous for Jimin  to think of the "what if's", as in, what if he'd slipped from his fingers like water? Because the mere sight of him made Jimin feel sickeningly tender. Because the thought of how Yoongi might respond to everything- to Jimin's world, to the truth- was frightening, and because he knew that probability of having to erase Yoongi's memories of all the times they'd spent together was more likely than he'd like to think.

Jimin stood up to leave. He knew what Hoseok what thinking, he knew what words he was forcing down his throat. 'We don't have more time, it has to be soon- it has to be now.' Jimin didn't have time to hear any of that now. He was too emotionally drained to argue.

He swung the wooden door inwards and left, having decided that he was in need of a walk .

The familiarity of the warm sunlight felt almost soothing to Jimin.

He had been so busy taking care of Yoongi that he'd barely had time to go outside. His mind was always buzzing with thoughts of Yoongi; there was no space for anything else in there at the time.

Avoiding to leave the cottage for long probably had something to do with the fact that Jimin was also busy with avoiding Jin and Taehyung. Just maybe. But he didn't want to think about that now.

Jimin curled in his bare feet against the green grass and took a long, deep breath, and filled his lungs with fresh air that smelled like flowers and nectar and was just so sickeningly sweet. He decided to go for a swim, trying not to think about who he might might bump into on the pond.

From afar, he could already see the other nymphs, witches and fairies, their clothes tossed to carelessly on top of the rocks by the pond while they splashed around playfully. The sound of laughter echoed all around, and Jimin couldn't help but feel his heart ease a little at it.

He took off his loose white shirt and stripped off his pants, tossing them to the side as well, and hoped that he would be able to distinguish the other pile of clothes from his own.

The fairy swam over to the less crowded side of the pond and allowed himself to float around mindlessly. And for a spare second, he was relaxed, at peace.

  And then he wasn't anymore.

"Jimin! I've been trying to reach out to you for days!" came a voice from behind him.

The pink haired fairy suppressed a groan and disappeared under the water. He knew Taehyung had been looking for recently, but Jimin basically begged Hoseok to tell him that he wasn't around whenever Taehyung came looking around for him. There wasn't enough space in his mind to deal with both his situation with Yoongi and Taehyung at once.

(Though saying that he'd been actually dealing with his situation with Yoongi wasn't exactly true, it would be more accurate to say he'd been avoiding every problem he had recently while stressing out over it.)

"I know. I didn't feel like talking," Jimin answered when he poked his head out of the water. Taehyung was already swimming towards him.

"Well, do you feel like talking now?"

Jimin knew his answer wouldn't matter. Taehyung would follow him around until he got to say whatever it was that he wanted to say.

And he was right. Taehyung started to talk before he'd even gotten an answer.

"I know that you're still mad at me, but just hear me out, alright?" He took Jimin by his hand and pulled him over to the more shallow end of the pond so that they wouldn't need to swim throughout their entire conversation.

"I never meant to hurt you, and I'm sorry. I really am. I was honestly just worried about you." He stopped to see if Jimin had anything to say, and since he didn't, Taehyung carried on. "And I want to help with whatever I can, collecting herbs for Yoongi, or getting him buckets of water, or whatever you need. Just please, don't stay mad at me."

"I'm not mad at you," Jimin answered almost immediately. How he wished he could've stayed mad at Taehyung for longer, but honestly, he couldn't. Although he'd been avoiding the latter, he had to admit that he needed Taehyung with him.

He loved Hoseok and would be eternally grateful for everything the witch had done for him, but what he had with Taehyung was very different and, of course, irreplaceable. Hoseok had been there to hold him while he cried, and he'd also been there to wipe away the tears and scratch his back.

However, he couldn't deny that he'd missed Taehyung's hugs and silly jokes and his cuddles.

"No?" Jimin shook his head. "Oh, thank goodness!" Taehyung exclaimed, launching himself at his friend. The fact that neither of them were wearing any clothes didn't really seem to matter at that point.

Jimin was unable to hold back a smile, and felt more at ease than he had in days.
