"W-what's this place?"
"This is the place where the second exam will be held. The 44th training area...
Also know as the Forest of Death."They were standing before an enormous forest with giant trees. It looked absolutely eery. Midori was glancing around, nervous. If they figured out she was on her own... well let's just say it wouldn't be a good thing. She had to avoid it at all costs. When Anko started talking again she snapped out of it.
"You will be able to experience why this place is called the Forest of Death."
Naruto made fun of Anko's words, repeating them in a weird voice and shaking his hips.
"There's no point in trying to scare us like that! I'm not scared at all!""Really? You sure are energetic." Her ingenious smile quickly changed to a thrown as she took out a kunai and threw it at Naruto, lightly scratching his cheek. She had then moved behind him at a breakneck speed, saying, "Boys like you die the fastest. After spilling out that red blood I love all over the place."
'Ah~, our next examiner is a nutjob too, they should really have made them take a basic sanity test before putting them in charge. Or maybe that's the added challenge? Survive the test and the crazy examiners.' Midori was just about to giggle to herself when the hairs on the back of her neck stood up.
This weird ninja appeared, giving Anko her knife back with... her?his?... it's tongue. 'Calm down Midori, it doesn't sense or smell at all the same as him. It's only natural for there to be more snakes in the world. Although they should've just done you a solid and never been born.' She couldn't help but shake, the very thought of Orochimaru terrified her. Her breathing had picked up and she was desperately trying to level it. Trying to think of happy things. The memory that worked was quite recent, easy to recall, it was the night she and Kakashi slept beside eachother. She had never felt more loved, more safe.
By the time Midori had managed to calm herself down, Anko stood in front of them all again.
"Before we begin the second exam, I'm going to pass these out to everyone.
These are liability forms. Those taking this exam must sign these.
From here on, people will die. Therfore, we need people to take liability before we continue. Otherwise, I'd be held responsible. Now, I'll begin the explanation for the second exam. To be concise, you will all go through an extreme survival match. First, I'll explain the training area's geographical features. The 44th training area is a circular region surrounded by 44 locked gate entrances. There is a river, a forest, and a tower in the middle. The tower is approximately 10 km away from the gates.
Inside this limited space, you will have to go through a certain survival program. The program consists of...A competition where anything goes... over these scrolls.
The scroll of heaven and the scroll of earth. You will fight over these scrolls. 26 teams in total passed the first exam. Half of those will get the scroll of heaven. The other half will get the scroll of earth.
Each team will get one of these scrolls. Simply, you have to fight over these.Bring the scroll of heaven and earth to the tower with your teammates and you pass.
This second exam has a limit of 120 hours. Or exactly 5 days.People will get hurt in the process of fighting over a scroll, and those who cannot bear this program's strictness will emerge, as well.
Here are the failing conditions:
First, a team that cannot bring both scrolls to the tower with the three teammates will fail.
Second, the team that loses a teammate or produces an unrecoverable teammate will fail.
Also, just a note, you are not allowed to look inside the scrolls until you reach the tower. If you become a Chuunin, you will be handling top secret documents. It's to determine your reliability.
That's it for the explanation. We will exchange three liability forms for one scroll at that hut.. and after picking your gate entrance everyone will begin at the same time.
