Hello dear readers.
Before starting to write the next chapter I wanted to let you know some things that are on my mind.

I've been really struggling around how to proceed for the 1v1 battles. I have not introduced another oc, which Midori would be able to fight, as of yet. And fluidily introducing one to the story is something I've been worried about.

The easiest way out for me would be to hope that you, the readers, would not mind if I had this new oc basically appear out of thin air. Without any explanation as to who his team is and how he got through the test.

Also I am terribly sorry that I haven't made a lot of fight scenes for Midori in the story, for now she is too powerful to fight along team 7 without altering battles immensely. And then there's the fact she didn't fight in the forest of death, the one place where she would've almost certainly had to. Although I hope the explanation provided through the story itself in the chapter was enough, I do want to elaborate.

This is the Chuunin exam, the people participating in it are by no means weak and although Midori has a good chance 1v1, a great chance even, that drops considerably if she had to fight against three. Having her win a fight against three and still coming out able to finish the test without any outside help just didn't seem plausible to me. Either she would've gotten severely injured or she would have attracted the attention of other teams. Then, having just finished fighting and depleting her chakra, she would not have been able to get away. Even if by some chance she had managed that, getting to the tower safely would have been impossible for her.

But there's a different reason too, besides logic and the consistency of character strength, I simply don't feel as confident writing fight scenes. Now that's not to say I will avoid them forever. Afterall the next chapter will have one. But it does limit my want as a writer to do them. I want to give you guys good quality material and I don't want to simply lower that quality for the sake of a bang.

I understand if some of you are disappointed with that and I hope none of you stop reading the story because of it. Like I said, there are going to be fight scenes and I wholly believe that the more of them I write the more confident in them I'll become, which in turn would likely increase their quality.

I want to thank all of you for reading the story this far and for suffering through my ramblings in this note.

I hope to see you in the next chapter.
Love,
Myth a.k.a. Grimkitsune.
