"No! Y-you can't!"

Things seemed to rush into a blur, people merging into each other as indistinguishable figures, and sounds seemed to mix into a cacophony of unpleasant symphonies.

"No! stop it!"

Visions of red, rusty red filled the room.

And the smell...

Something slightly metallic...

How could this be happening?

"Please! Please don't..."

Everything was swirling, the room seemed to become unstable, and glowing red eyes seemed to stare right on through. That was until they were blocked off. Something large had gotten in the way.

"Please, don't let this be real..."

Soon, another voice made itself known, quite pleasant and soothing in tone. It sounded familiar but distant all the same.

"This isn't how things are supposed to be..." It spoke, calmly and reassuringly, contrasting to the visions just seen. "It isn't fair, you deserve to be happy."

It was as if it was speaking directly about the events just witnessed, as if it could see everything that ever happened.

It was unsettling in many ways.

"I can make things better."

"I can give you that happiness."

The morning light seemed to glimmer through the improperly drawn curtains, coating the girl sleeping within the room with a warm beam of light, though it did not immediately disturb her from her slumber, as she tossed and turned in her sleep.

Quite erratically at that, as if she was being haunted by some horrific nightmare that would not wake her so easily, though in this lonely room, there was no one to wake her.

Contrary, this morning was peaceful and tranquil: The birds seemed to sing their sweet songs from the treetops, just outside the window of this small apartment; the sun flickering softly through clouds, phasing in and out of blessing the sleeping figure with its warm rays.

Yes, to the outside world, this seemed like the perfect morning to wake up too, especially if it was at your own accord. Their eyes slowly opening and adjusting to the light, throwing the curtains wide and taking a deep breath, appreciating the simplicity of such things.

Today, however, did not want to be one of those days.

Loud and grating piano sounds suddenly blasted out from a phone resting on the bedside next to the sleeping girl. It seemed to startle her as she sat up with immediate effect upon hearing the sound, her breathing heavy and her heart beating far too fast for her liking.

She sighed briefly upon realising where the sound was coming from and let out an extremely disgruntled moan as she laid herself back down, exhausted already from the alarming jump scare.

"STOP ALREADY" she yelled at the inanimate object, smacking her hand around her bedside table in a vain attempt to turn the damned machine off, though failing as it seemed to only grow louder in screaming at her. "Ugh, fine..." she finally relented to the device's cries and pulled herself upright once more, sitting on the side of her bed.

Finally, she reached over to grab the device before swiping the 'x' button on the screen to turn the nuisance off. The phone finally obeyed and silenced itself allowing her a short, quiet reprieve from real life.

It didn't last long though, as she was soon interrupted once more by said phone buzzing in her hands, less aggressively this time. 'Who is sending me messages at... 6am in the morning?' F/N internally groaned to herself as she pinched the bridge of her nose, blinking a few times to try and wake up properly. She turned the screen on once more, wincing immediately when the bright light from her screen hit her eyes in the dimly lit room.
