The light in Shibuya was a cool shade of purple with no sign of life to be seen in the normally busy streets, the buildings seemed to sway in a way that resembled a reflection in water. It was foreign yet familiar to F/N, though before she could explore more, somebody behind her caught her attention. He looked familiar in silhouette form, though she couldn't properly make out his face due to the mask covering his face.

Looking around, she noticed there were a few others also adorned in masks, including a creature that looked more like a prefecture mascot. In a feat of curiosity, she went up to touch her face to be met with a hard surface covering her face, piquing her curiosity, she peeled the mask from her face to look at it. She was met with a shape that resonated with her soul in a manner that she never felt before, it was then that she noticed that the rest of her outfit was different from her normal clothes as well, closely matching that of the mask. It seemed to be the same thing that the other people around her were wearing.

Puzzled, she turned towards the man wearing a black tailcoat adorned with a black and white domino mask. His expression was one of confidence, but not overly smug. He looked like someone she could put her trust in. Before she could speak however, he'd already taken the hint.

"Something wrong C/N?" he asked tilting his head slightly. Some of his raven hair shifted from its place, his hands folding their way into his pockets. He seemed so familiar to F/N, but she couldn't put her finger on it. His voice lingered in her thoughts though, it too sounded familiar. She could've sworn the answer was on the tip of her tongue, but she just couldn't quite connect the dots yet.

"Oh, no Joker- I've just had a long day..." she sputtered out. Though immediately after, she froze in place. She referred to the man as 'Joker', so she was clearly familiar with the man. She thought back to how he referred to her as 'C/N', and perhaps this was some sort of 'Code Name' so to speak. She couldn't quite grasp the situation she was in however, what was she doing that required her to go by a code name?

Before she could rattle on in her mind about what everything meant, she was interrupted by 'Joker' calling out to the group of people around her.

With a firm stance, he removed his hand from his pocket, along with his phone. "Alright everyone, we made some good progress today, but I think it's time to head back." Everyone in the group nodded to this as Joker brought up an app on his phone, tapping on the large icon that appeared on the screen in front of him.

"RETURNING TO THE REAL WORLD、 THANK YOU, FOR YOUR HARD WORK"

As soon as the phone spoke, the world around F/N's group began to warp in a phantasmagorical way, the cold purple tint surrounding Shibuya would shift in between the swirling that surrounded her head. This stopped almost instantly though as signs of life returned to the city. F/N clutched her head, feeling the effects of 'whatever the hell just happened' kicking in. All of a sudden, she felt a hand on her shoulder. Turning around though, she was met with the concerned gaze of Akira, who held out a water bottle for her to take.

"You okay?" he softly asked, gesturing for F/N to take the bottle, to which she kindly obliged. As soon as she had flipped the cap off, she gulped down the entire bottle immediately before taking a deep breath. "It's only your second time in the metaverse, so don't worry about it. Everyone else here has been through it too." He gestured to the rest of the group that was scattered nearby, F/N all of a sudden connected the dots, the group from earlier were the same as the group she was in now.

It left her with so many questions though, to which a black cat that looked just like the mascot from earlier, popped its head up from Akira's bag. "You shouldn't underestimate F/N though, I see a lot of potential in her," it sluggishly spoke, causing F/N to flinch slightly at the odd sight before her.
