MY POV

i look at the door in front of me, inhaling  deeply "okay okay calm down..its gonna be okay" i pull out my note pad that had all the reports about the past 5 months since i've been a protege of the cathedral,and im aware i have to face my real duty one day..but i didn't expect it so soon... i put my hand onto the door knob and twisted it entering the room.

"ah..kai..i've been expecting you" father Benjamin said as he puts out a pipe he had been smoking. i walk towards his desk and sat down in front of him. "how is your training?"

"it was...okay sir..i...ive been learning a lot from my mentors" father Benjamin looked at me  directly "no need to be so tense around me child...all i ask is honesty" i grip the notepad and placed it onto the desk, he takes it and began reading from it. "and who's side would you like to be on?".

"wh....what" 

"who's side are you on...clearly...you're a half demon...like brutal" the room suddenly felt hot, i find myself sweating. "but..your also a Pure soul.....Like pure..." he leaned back on his chair. "i'll ask again" he pulls out a knife and a gun. "who's side...are you on"

i felt a lump on my throat "c-cant i choose both?!" i laughed nervously. he didn't seemed pleased by my answer . "i hope you are aware about the war....their getting stronger...day by day...we need fighters and  defenders....once you choose your side you can never go back...which of your mentors footsteps will you follow? will you be at front protecting your companions or will you stand behind and protect humanity while the rest die"

what do i do... i cant choose...their my friends...it means i wont get to see them once this is over... thoughts began to ramble in my head.

i look at the items on the table, reaching for the gun. "am i making the right choice..." i thought. "i-ill think about it!!" i get up and dashed out of the room.

"MS what do i do" monochrome scout(MS is not an official freak but ill probs draw him later, along with Brutaly psycho pyro) chuckles as he pricks at his baseball bat filled with nails "join US!! it'll be a real bloodbath out there!! jus seein their heads freakin explode and blood-" i hug my knees to my chest "not helpin huh..." he rubs the back of his neck "look girlie..im not exactly the type of...guy you're lookin for in this type of...situation..." BPP comes in with some ice cream, he sits down next to me offering it . "thanks..." i accept the ice cream and began eating it "i just want both of them safe...i want to fight too but..im scared". pyro pulls up his mask "iM sUreE yOu'Ll ThInK oF sOmEtHiNg KaI" he gave a ghoul-ish smile at me "but...i have no idea how to fight." i hug myself "and my demon form....i..i cant " MS sighed "look girlie ...if ya cant fight then join your boyfriends side if your scared, its safer there...unlike ours.."

"but i want to protect brutal too" he sighed again "so...think..." he grabs my head "ya gotta brain in there ya still sane unlike the rest of us.." i close my eyes and took a deep breath "okay..."

i pick up both the gun and dagger. "...." i gulp "I want to protect everyone...even if im a coward...even if i am the weakest member in the cathedral i want to protect earth and the cathedral." father Benjamin sighed "i never thought a decision so drastic would be made so quickly...". father Benjamin grabs some ash from a bag and blowed it on me. i felt lightheaded as darkness embraces me .

i open my eyes only to be face to face with my demon "I-its you" it nodded and grabbed my hand it started becoming a part of me, i look down at my hands and saw half was normal and half was a demon. i could hear its voice, 'lets fight'."but im scared...".'why'."i-i dont know"

'you have to trust me...kai we can work our way through this'. "but.." 'trust me...i am apart of you..and i will protect you....'.

i open my eyes only to see leaves. i look at my hand and saw one arm had flowers growing out of it. i pry my way out of the bush like cocoon and to my surprise all of the members of the cathedral where looking down at me. "o-oh...hey whats up.....wh-why are you all looking at me as if-" MS picks me up and hoists me up "SHE BOUND WITH HER DEMON!!"

"wait what"

father benjamin steps forward "you are now a defendant and an assassin...let your demon guide you..and you yourself learn to control its power" i look at pure and brutal, they only smile as MS puts me down.

"we are so proud of ou Mon cherie" pure said hugging me tightly. brutal chuckles and ruffles my hair "glad to have ya round Kid." he grins. "ALRIGHT WE GOTTA CELEBRATE!!!LETS GO HUNT!!!" MS yelled. "o-or we can just buy food.."

"HUNT!!"

"o-okay.."
