The Battle Within

Paid Information

Sonic pulled up to the strip club. The music pounding on the outside walls trying to escape. He turned the car off and got out. A few stripers walking across the parking lot with cigarettes in their hands. Sonic moved quickly across the parking lot towards the doorway. The lights shone brightly off the building. A security guard nodded his way as he entered the loud building. A bar stood to the side where people were likely getting drunk before they got laid. He wasn't here for any of that. He needed to find Rouge. He walked over to the bar, not making eye contact with the poles and women on them. They didn't arouse him, he didn't like that for some reason...maybe...he didn't realize it...but there was only one person he wouldn't mind seeing...he snapped out of it and continued towards the bar and sat down. Alcohol filled his nose and guys sat around talking about what they were gonna get tonight and from who. "What do you want?" The bartender asked his thick blonde mustache wavering about with his deep Norwegian accent, this guy sounded like he wasn't from around these parts. "I'm looking for a woman named Rouge?" The bartender smirked. "Our crown jewel." He replied pointing behind Sonic. Sonic turned around to see a bat pulling some moves on a pole. Money dropped all around her like rain. "That's her?" Sonic said disgustedly. "Yep sure is, best in the business." Sonic rose and walked away from the bar, a speaker sounded overhead above the music. "Give us a hand for our crowned jewel Rouge!!!" Whooping and hollering came around as the bat walked back behind the stage where Sonic made his way to. He passed through a velvety curtain and found himself in a dressing room. "Rouge your on again in 30." A man said as Rouge sat down in front of a mirror. Sonic walked up behind her slowly as she was doing her makeup. She glimpsed him in the mirror and spoke while putting her lipstick on. "Next show is in thirty till then I'm on break." Sonic shook his head. "That's not why I'm here." Rouge looked at him through the mirror before turning around confused. "Why else would you be here?" She asked suspiciously. "I'm looking for my boy-..my friend Tails. He went missing and I'm trying to find him." Rouge sat there with a mischievous grin. "Yellow fur, fox?" She asked. "Yes, that's him!" Sonic said relieved but also worried. "Can you tell me where he has gone!?" Rouge went back to the mirror and began doing her hair. "For a price... A hundred bucks will get you your answer." Sonic felt frustration and anger boil inside him...even so, he pulled out his wallet and the green slips of paper slapping it down on the vanity. "Tell me where Tails is." He demanded. "Sure sugar." She replied. "He was with this kid that's been living with me called Shadow, they looked pretty close if you ask me. I thought it must of been another one of his boyfriends or something. I sent him to the store and back to my place. That's all I know. He seemed pretty content actually." Sonic felt his stomach turn and nausea take over. Shadow? Boyfriend? What? So many things raced through Sonics head. "Where is your place?" "Well, usually I get paid first before they ask me-." Sonic cut her off. "You know what I mean." She grinned and wrote it down on a business card in front of her, she handed it to him. "Don't be afraid to ever call me if you need a little something." She winked. Sonic looked down and began walking towards the door located in the back of the club.  "Oh thanks, I won't."...
