Blood and Impulse

"Did I kill him!?" Sonic felt a little light headed, blood had stained his white gloves- a few scratches across his arms and face. He stumbled back looking at the work of his actions sprawled on the floor in a heap of stillness. He rose unsteadily, wiping his head from the sweat. He looked around the room before finally realizing what he had been there for in the first place. Sonic ran over and knelt by his little fox. A pool of blood had begun forming underneath Tails's head.
"No, no, no." Sonic shook his head in disbelief. He unwinded the restraints and kicked the chair away with his foot, sending it clear across the room.
"This is all my fault, this is all my fault." Sonic whispered to  himself picking up Tails gently. The blood dripped slowly between the hedgehogs fingers. "Tails...? T-Tails!?" Sonic said looking at the frail lifeless body in his hands. "You are gonna be okay, you have to be? You must stay please..." He begged. Sonic felt the flow of guilt and misery begin to wet his face. "I'm taking you to the hospital." He slammed the door open with a loud bang. Down the hall a figure who had just begun his walk down to the torturous room stared dumbfounded.

"Wha-?" Eggman said surprised. Sonic looked over, sadness in his eyes , before bolting down the corridors. Eggman yelled at the two robot henchman that stood by his side. "GO GET THAT FUCKING HEDGEHOG!!! I WANT HIM CAPTURED AND BROUGHT TO ME, DAMNIT!!!" The two robots- metallic grey with dark ruby red eyes- chased after the blue blur hurriedly.

Sonic ran down the hallway, doors on either side. Some of the luminous light cast over the dripping blood of his companion. It's iron smell making Sonic sick. He could see the door in the distance, the breeze of cold night air pushing past him. Suddenly something wized past his head before sending sparks on a nearby wall. "HALT!!!" The robots yelled. Sonic ran faster. Bullets began raining down on him and the fox. Something scraped his shoulder and he wailed in pain before stumbling forward into the night air. He looked back, his head spinning, shoulder aching. The robots were gaining quickly now. Sonic slammed the door and looked around on all fours for something to hold them back. It was very dark out. He touched something soft, then continued along the side of the building before finding a long metal rod for scraping crustations of the bottom of boats. He stuck it through the door handle and a few mortar bricks that layed on their sides. It wouldn't hold them long. He stumbled back and looked up at the stars. The dark abyss trying to consume him. He shook his head and rose. He looked around for where he dropped his little glimmer of sunshine, Tails. He searched the darkness- pounding on the door. "SURRENDER AND NO ONE GETS HURT." F-in liers. Sonic found the soft thing he had touched earlier. Ears and a little nose followed. "C'mon little fox, I got you now." Sonic said caringly-picking him up bridal style.  He ran over to the car and set Tails in the back seat gently. Sonic gathered some random clothes around the car and gently put them under Tails's head. The rearview mirror burst in a ray of shattering glass. Sonic ducked and looked down the little hill je was parked on. The two robots had managed to burst through the door and we're heading right for them. Guns in hands and bullets richocheing off the hood of the car. Sonic shut the back door quickly and jumped in, reaving up the car. It sputtered for a second. "C'mon DAMN IT!" Sonic yelled slamming his stained gloves on the staring wheel. The car, instantaneously started up. Sonic slammed his foot on the gas. His passenger window shattering into pieces from the impact of an on coming bullet. It hit the side of his seat. He pushed the car into gears before he drove onto the road. The robots falling farther and farther begin him.
