I fixed my cuff link one last time making sure it was secured before shoving my phone in my breast pocket of my blazer I walked out my closet and straight out the front door glancing at my Rolex for the time

I told Alexis to be ready for the ball at 7

We are both heading to a charity ball for cancer victims and cancer research

My driver pulled up at 7 on the dot and parking in front of her apartment I got out and went to her front door knocking

I stood there for a minute before the door opened I smiled widely seeing her ensemble

The dress she was wearing was like an off white with gold embroidered flowers over the bust and on the bottom of the skirt the corset showed her natural shape perfectly and her makeup was elegant and simple nude lip with a soft eyeshadow look her hair was curled those curls were so soft looking

The one thing I hated was her neck was bare she'd taken off her necklace

"You didn't have to take off your fathers necklace"

She looked taken aback and put a hand on her neck "I-I didn't think it looked good with this dress I just... I didn't wanna embarrass you" I mean that silver rope chain wouldn't have looked good with this beautiful dress I'll agree but still I wouldn't have had her take it off knowing what it meant to her

"Well do you have any other jewelry?" She shook her head "that's fine princess completely fine if you're okay with taking that necklace off we'll go I just don't want you uncomfortable" I smiled it was still just kinda shocking to see her bare neck

"I'm fine" she nodded

"Well then lets go" I held my arm out to her she took it and I lead her to the back seat helping to get her the puffy skirt of her dress in before getting myself back into the car

"You do look astonishing regardless Alexis" I had forgotten to tell her what I thought that moment I got to take her all in

"Thank you" she smiled widely

I felt my chest buzz I pulled my phone out and read the long message about another company under bidding us for a fulfillment of bag masks I rolled my jaw and sighed I glanced at Alexis "uh can I have a moment?"

"Oh uh yeah yeah of course" she nodded folding her hands in her lap

I hooked my phone to a case on the back of the drivers seat and pulled down the tray attached to the seat it's self I turned on my laser projected keyboard and synced it to my phone starting to type my response ,which is something along the lines of a threat but also remind them of our long standing loyalty and quality products

I finished and read over my message I felt staring I looked at Alexis she noticed because when I looked at her she kinda shrunk away "what?"

"Your keyboard" she leaned over more looking at the red laser light "that's really cool I've never seen anything like that before"

I kinda laughed "it's not that impressive I bought it off amazon"

"Yeah well I'm impressed so maybe I'm just easily impressed" she shrugged

I sent my message and took my phone off "here give me your phone" she reached into her clutch and pulled it out unlocking it then passing it to me I synced it to the keyboard and looked at her "come scoot by me" I smiled she smiled biting her lip and she moved closer to me
