Dean and Sam, aka Stark and Banner rushed out of the room, only to bump into a very distressed looking Sheriff right around the corner.
"What the hell did you two say to her!?" He yelled. "Up until you two arrived, she wouldn't even do as little as blink, or move, and now she's sprinting out of my police department like an Olympic runner...And why is there a hand print on your cheek?!?"
"Can we go inside and talk about this quietly?" Sam gestured to the interrogation room from which they had emerged not even a minute before.
Once the three men were comfortable, Dean started to explain.
"Here's the deal, Sheriff. My partner and I aren't actually on duty, so we had to use aliases, and--"
"We're not actually FBI," Sam interjects.
"SAM!!" Dean hissed loudly.
"What? It's true," Sam responds. Then he turns back to the Sheriff. "My brother and I are hunters. The things that go bump in the night, the things that you can't explain. The things that's kids are scared live in their closets or under their beds, we hunt them, and we kill them. We know what the witnesses say they say the day Cassie and Darlinghurst died, and we also know that you can't explain it. But give us a couple of days and we probably will be able to."
The Sheriff looked stunned. Shocked into a complete and utter silence. Then he slowly regained some sense of where and who he was.
"So what are your names then?"
"I'm Sam Winchester, and this is my brother Dean."
"Wait, hold up. Dean Winchester? The Dean Winchester? 'Im gonna go gank some sons of bitches' Dean Winchester?"
Dean looked more than just slightly confused. "What do you mean?"
"Did you happen to know Cassie Robinson?"
"Who's asking?" Replied Dean.
"I am," the Sheriff had a long look at Dean's facial expression, and then continued. "From your reaction, I'm going to presume it was you who was here sixteen years ago working the case which involved the...what was it again...the racist truck."
"Yeah I worked that case," Dean said and Sam looked at him in disbelief. His brother had completely forgot he was in the room, and so had the Sheriff for the way things were going.
"Well, Dean Winchester, from the word that was going around town, you and Cassie really hit it off. And from what the neighbours said, you two were pretty damn loud."
"Best goddamn night of my life."
Sam became instantly uncomfortable at the Sheriff's and his brother's words. He really didn't need to know this. This was not a room that he needed to be in. But he couldn't just get up and walk way. Because that would be rude. And Sam wasn't rude. But he did feel awkward.
"Well, not even nine months later she gave birth to Kara."
Sam once again started to go red in the face, and become extremely visibly flustered.
"Doesn't mean she's mine Sheriff."
"You're the first and last person she slept until the age of twenty five. No other person the father could be."
This caught Dean off guard.
"What? No. I, I would know if I, no, I'm certain I can't possibly, no," Dean looked so visibly flustered at this point, and Sam was also quite visibly embarrassed.
"Dean, I think we should probably go now," Sam said. Simply because he was feeling to awkward to do anything else.
