Part 15

Sh: I need some more time for the engagement.. May be a month.. So that I can do my best to make her engagement special..

( I know everyone was worried with so many guessworks😁😁But this was it..!!)

Everyone laughed merrily hearing his statement.

Next day, Swara and her friends Sejal, Meera and Komal helped Ragini to get ready. Ragini was looking pretty in her traditional white and gold Kerala Saree and a beautiful gold necklace.

Swara was wearing the turquoise blue colour Kanjeevaram saree which Sanskaar had gifted her the other day. Her hair was set into beautiful curls and she was looking even more beautiful than anyone in the group.

Sw: Ok now I am going downstairs to check whether it's time to take Ragini downstairs.

Saying so, Swara walked out of the room and along the corridor. Just when she reached in front of Sanskaar's room she decided to peep inside. She walked into the room and saw that it was empty.

Sw: Now where did Sanskaar go..? May be he is busy downstairs..

Just as she turned to go back, she bumped into something hard and she was about to fall backwards. Sanskaar caught around her waist on time and she gazed at his handsome face in amazement.

Sw: Sanskaar...!!

He made her stand straight and a husky whisper caressed her face as he spoke.

Sa: Swara..You are looking breathtakingly beautiful today. I just want to kiss you at this very moment..!

Sw: (panicks) Sanskaar..Don't..Someone will come now..My friends are in the next room.

Sa: (naughtily)That's not a problem..

And he shut the room's door in a brisk movement. Swara gaped at him in awe as his face inched closer. His lips crept over her luscious lips and he parted his lips to suck in her both lips.

Sa: (smacking his lips)Hmmm...Swara your lips have a different taste today..

Sw: (giggles) It's my strawberry flavoured lip-gloss..

Sanskaar smiled wickedly and his fingers drew circles at the bare skin at the back of her waist.

Swara closed her eyes and arched backwards in pleasure. Sanskaar bent his head and buried it into her neck and nuzzled along her throat. He kissed her earlobe and kissed behind her ear.

Swara parted her lips and let out a gasp. He was turned on beyond measure and he plunged his lips into her now open mouth. She kissed his lips and his rough tongue intertwined with her soft one.

She cupped his face with her tiny palms as he devoured her mouth. His hands squeezed the sides of her waist as their kiss became even more vigorous.

Those few minutes were blissful but then Swara suddenly remembered why she wanted to go downstairs in the first place. She opened her eyes in a jiffy and widened them.

Her lips tried to whimper something inside his mouth and Sanskaar sensed it. He withdrew his lips softly and mumbled.

Sa: What is it, Swara..?

Swara pushed him away from her body and scolded him softly.

Sw: Sanskaar, what are we doing..? Its Ragini's engagement and we must not forget that. I was going down to check whether Lakshya's family has arrived and if it's time to take Ragini downstairs.

Sa: (hits his head) Oh yes..! And I had come here to change my dress. We must hurry up. Then you go Swara and ask Amma.

Sw: Ok..

Before turning to go, she hugged him tightly and gave a quick peck on his lips.

After a Month...

The day arrived when Swara and Sanskaar were going to get engaged with each other. The function was being conducted at Sharmishta's residence. Sanskaar and his family were well received by Swara's family.

Sanskaar's look

Both the families sat down on the ground facing each other and waited for Swara to come. Sanskaar watched as she came into the space in the middle and she lighted the Nilavilakku ( A traditional lamp which is kept vertical on the floor).

Swara was looking extremely pretty in the traditional cream and gold saree of Kerala.

Sharmishta and Shekhar looked at each other with joyous tears as they saw their little Chinnu dressed up as the "bride to be".

Sanskaar's family gifted her with articles like silk and jewels.

Both the families then exchanged trays which contained articles like betel leaves, turmeric etc. It is considered as a mutual binding which is unbreakable.

During the event, the marriage date was announced by the elders of the family. It was to be held in the coming month.

After that the family members got up and cleared the space for Swara and Sanskaar for their ring exchange ceremony.

Swara and Sanskaar stood face to face and looked into each other's eyes. They were lost in each other's gaze for a moment.

Then Sanskaar winked naughtily at her and she blushed and looked down. He took the golden ring on which it was engraved "Sanskaar", and then slipped into the ring finger of her left hand. She also took a golden ring on which her name "Swara" was engraved and she too slipped it into the ring finger on his right hand.

Everyone clapped their hands and rejoiced in the joyful moment of the lovely couple.

Swara and Sanskaar were the happiest persons in the world as they stood there hand in hand as they witnessed the joy and happiness of their parents and close family members.

I know it's a short chapter..But in the next chapter its their wedding and first night and that's why I didn't post it together..
