(A/N: this chapter title would go better with the next part oops )
~Betty POV~
Honestly, I'm not surprised. These three just randomly showed up in town a few weeks ago and nobody has ever seen them before. Literally no one has ever come to Riverdale without any history with the town. It was completely unusual and definitely odd. So, I'm not surprised by this story. Not even a little bit.
It might take some getting used to, but I know what it's like to have a secret. I'm not about to tell anyone about them. Honestly, I don't even know what I would be telling. Toni's real name is Waverly Earp. She's half angel? People, no, demons want to kill her, so she faked her own murder.
Cheryl's real name is Nicole Haught.
"Hot?" I can't help pointing it out even though I know she's heard it a million times. "That can't be a coincidence."
Nicole and Waverly burst out into uncontrollable laughter when I say this. I know she's heard name jokes before, so I assume it's an inside joke I don't know about. They wrap their hands together and steady each other. I swear, they are the most adorable couple I have ever seen. They aren't out to anyone else in Riverdale, but I guess since they trust me with them being dead, being gay didn't seem like a big deal anymore.
"She said that exact same thing to me when we first met." Nicole explained.
"Oh. . ." The laughter makes sense now.

~two years later~
~Waverly POV~
I can feel Nicole smiling into our kisses. Life is finally starting to feel normal again.
We've been in Riverdale for two years now and our identities have remained secret since the beginning. The only two people who know our story, who we are, and where we came from, are Jughead Jones and Betty Cooper. To the world, I am Toni Topaz. And Nicole is Cheryl Blossom. It's only behind closed doors and with our two trusted friends that we use our original names. Although, the more time we spend in this crazy twilight-zone of a town, Waverly and Nicole feel more fake. And Cheryl and Toni start to feel real.
Chrissy moved back to Purgatory only a month after our arrival here, that was always the plan. She showed up in Purgatory with a story that we had rehearsed over and over again. A story that would ensure nobody would look for us.
~flashback~
~Chrissy POV~
"We were going to the Earp homestead." I carefully start the perfectly rehearsed story. "I remember seeing a man in the road. He had a gun pointed at Nicole's car. She tried to speed up, I guess she thought she could drive by fast enough that he wouldn't get a shot off, but something popped the tires. We spun off the road and I was thrown from the car. I woke up in a house in the woods."
I let myself sob, knowing tears will help my story.
"There were body parts everywhere! I screamed for Nicole and Waverly, but then I saw it. An arm. Waverly's ring was still on her hand." I break down because I know the next thing I say won't be a lie. "They're gone."
~Wynonna POV~
They aren't gone. If anything, Chrissy's story confirms that. I spent years going in and out of mental hospitals and addiction centers. Every time, surrounded by liars. I've been lied to my whole life. I'm like a fucking bloodhound when it comes to sniffing out who's telling me the truth.
Chrissy is lying. I'm absolutely positive.
~End Flashback~
~Nicole POV~
"Waverly, baby, slow down." I whisper to the girl who's lips are pressed to my neck.
She does. Slow down, I mean. She traces kisses back up my neck and over my jaw until her lips are back on my own. I love this.
I know how this is going to end, but I want us to take our time. My fingers trace every detail of her body. Details that I've had memorized for almost three years. Simple things, like the crinkles by her eyes when her face lights up. The way her shoulder blades pop out slightly when her arms pull me closer. How smooth her skin feels on the small of her back. It's smooth everywhere, but somehow, it's even softer in that place.
I could tell you everything about this girl. She sees everything in terms of good and evil, she never looks at anything as in between. She's strong, but not as strong as everyone thinks. She cries a lot, but she would never let anyone see the tears. I could tell you that her favorite color's green, it reminds her of how Wynonna always looked amazing in that color. She loves to argue. It's funny sometimes because she'll try to act as if she isn't about to go on for hours trying to prove her point. She's always been insecure, she thinks her sister is better than she is. She has her father's eyes.
Those are the things I think about when I kiss her. I get lost in her touch and my mind floods with all of the details that nobody else chooses to focus on. I am absolutely in love with her and I cannot wait until the day we both turn 18 so I can marry her without all of the stupid obstacles of trying to marry someone under the legal age.
What the ACTUAL fuck!
I groan as we pull away from each other. Waverly reaches for her phone, which she apparently forgot to turn off. . . Again. She looks at the number on the screen and her face immediately goes blank. I've never seen this expression, or lack there of, before. Her hands are shaking as she slowly answers the call and lifts her phone up to her ear.
She stares blankly at me for what seems like an eternity, breathing into the phone, unsure of what to say or do. I can't tell if she's scared or relieved and it's freaking me out. Her body trembles as she takes a deep breath in before finally speaking into her phone.
"Wynonna?" I hear the name and immediately bare the same expression as my girlfriend.
Not scared. Not relieved.
Nothing. Empty. Hollow.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I wanted to make this longer, but I'll put the rest in the next chapter.
What do you think? Is it really Wynonna on the phone? If it isn't Wynonna, who do you think it is?
I love it when y'all interact with my stories and your opinions and funny comments make my day every day!! If you have something to say or a suggestion or literally anything, comment it!!
I love you, Cheetahs!!
