Chapter 1

I woke up. My hearing was bad and all I could hear was hums. I held my ears in pain as I slowly stood up. I looked in front of me and noticed I was on the same road that Jeremy knocked me out on. I quickly looked behind me and saw a massive horde of Walkers coming up near me.

"Shit" I said stumbling backwards.

I fell onto the ground. I then started to crawl backwards. I crawled over something hard and noticed it was my revolver. I picked it up and checked if it had any bullets. There was none. Jeremy must of taken them out before he left. I still had my knifes though, and my fake foot. I got back onto my feet as my hearing started to come back. As my hearing came back I heard something flying over my head. I quickly looked up and saw a helicopter flying over me. I think they were trying to direct the horde away. But the horde was more interested in me. I kept trying to walk away from the horde, but I was to weak and slow. They were going about the same speed as me. As I made it over the hill in the distance I saw Renmark. It looked bigger then I thought it was. It has massive fences all around it and new tall buildings inside. In the distance I saw three people all on horses riding out towards me. I thought that I could get to the bushes on the side of the road to hide but the Walkers would of gotten me.

I continued following the road till the three men were in front of me.

"What the hell are you doing kid?" One man said.

The man quickly rode up to me.

"Well get on!" The man said.

I had no choice but to get onto his horse. I climbed onto the horse quickly and we all rode back to Renmark.

"You almost led that horde back towards us. What the hell are you doing out here all alone anyway?" The man said.

I slowly started to feel dizzy and I passed out while on the horse. I woke up hearing voices all around me. I saw a man who looked like he was the doctor. He was patching me up and checking me over. Behind him was two strong guards all looking at me. I had no idea where I was. But soon I recovered and I woke up. I looked around the room and looked at the guards. When I looked at them they quickly faced forward. I was about to get out of bed when I realised I was strapped up tightly to the bed.

"What the hell is going on?!" I yelled.

The guards didn't say anything. A few seconds after I yelled out the door swung open, and a man walked in. My sight was a little bit fuzzy as he walked in, but as he got closer to me I could see his face.

"Dad?" I said.

"Hey son" Dad said.

I was still strapped down onto my bed so I couldn't move. He walked over to the side of my bed and sat down. He looked at me into my eyes.

"You almost killed us all. What were you doing out there anyway?" My Dad said.

"I... I was left out there by one of my friends, and he is heading back home to kill my people. I need to go back there!" I said.

My Dad didn't say anything. He then nodded.

"No. You're staying here. You cannot leave. If you leave you will be either brought back or killed" My Dad said.

"I have a family! I have a wife and she pregnant! I need to get back!" I yelled.

"You're staying right here. Aren't you happy to see me. It's been Four Hundred and Eighty Four since I saw you" He said.

"I am happy to see you. But I have a new family. A kid and a wife" I said.

He stood up.

"You're staying here! Like I said if you leave you would be killed or brought back!" He said yelling at me.
