GABRIELLA
We all gathered around a table with a map of South Australia. Yesterday we drove out for one hour and marked the distance we got. We marked it on the map. I picked up the compass and put the pin on the Adelaide Oval and the pencil on the hours drive. I then moved the compass over and over again till I got six hours. I drew a big circle and looked over the map with everyone.
"He's somewhere in this circle" I said.
"That circle takes up most of South Australia. It will be impossible to find him" Luke said.
"What, are you saying we should just give up. After everything he did for us" I said.
"No I'm just saying that it will take a while for us to try to find him. We will need full support from Mount Barker to do this" Luke said.
"And we will get support from them" I said.
"What should we do first?" Hunter asked.
I looked down at the map for a while and thought.
"We should break into groups and split off in different directions, and check as many houses as possible especially the ones that look run down and searched" I said.
"Well let's get to it" Hunter said.
We all walked off and got into groups. Hunter was getting her stuff together and she looked like she was alone. I walked over to her and picked up her knife. I then handed it to her and she took it from me.
"Thank you" Hunter said.
"Would you like to group up?" I asked.
Hunter stopped packing things into her bag and slowly looked up at me.
"Fine" Hunter said putting her bag onto her shoulder.
As she walked off I quickly grabbed my things and I followed close behind. We all met each other out the front of the Adelaide Oval.
"Ok. You guys search the eastern area" I said pointing to Luke, Tyler and Audrey.
"Hunter and I will search the western area" I said.
"Got it" Tyler said.
"Where heading out Cooper!" I yelled.
"Alright, see you later!" Cooper yelled back as we walked outside of the Adelaide Oval.
We all walked towards our locations. We walked forever. Until we got at least a hour out from the Adelaide Oval. Hunter took out a few Walkers in the way and we continued walking. I started to slow down. I was beginning to lose my breath. I stopped quickly and held my knees.
"Hunter! Ple... please ca...can we have a break?" I said blowing in and out air quickly.
"We can't stop. We have to keep looking" Hunter said.
I looked up and saw Hunter stepping over a fallen over electrical pole.
"How do you do it?" I asked slowly following behind her.
"Do what?" Hunter said.
"I mean. You're pregnant, and you can do all of this. How do you do it?" I asked.
Hunter stopped suddenly. She put her hand over her mouth and quickly turned around. She then kneel down and vomited.
"Shit! Hunter are you alright?" I asked.
"I'm fine!" Hunter said putting her hand out to me all covered in vomit.
She slowly stood up. But then she crouched back down and vomited again. I looked around and saw smoke coming from the distance. I ran over to Hunter and carried her into a building.
"Stay here. I'll be back" I said.
"No! Wait, I'm coming!" Hunter said struggling to get up.
I put my hand on her shoulder and pushed her back down.
"You can't. I'll be fine. Just stay here" I said.
Hunter sat back down and looked at me.
"Fine. But you better come back" Hunter said.
"I will" I said walking out of the building.
I looked up into the sky and saw the smoke again. It was very close. It was coming from behind the building we were at. I walked around and looked around the corner. I saw one person at a campfire cooking some kind of meat on it. I took out my pistol and slowly walked towards him. When I got behind him I put my gun at his head.
"Don't move" I said as he put his hands up dropping his can he was using to put his food in.
"What are you doing out here?" I asked.
"Surviving. Like you. I don't think the gun is really necessary. I ran out of bullets along time ago. You can check for yourself if you wanted to" The man said.
I grabbed his bag and looked through it. I found a gun down deep in the bag. I took it out and took out the ammo clip. It had no bullets like he said.
"Do you have a group, a community, anything?" I asked.
"No. I used to be at this community. I left because it's not a good place. They are evil but they are survivors and unstoppable. They have an army that's why I left my children and my wife behind. It's a safe place there so I thought it would be best if they stayed there" The man said.
"What's your name" I said.
"Paul. Paul Worth" He said.
Paul went quite and slowly looked at me.
"What's your name?" Paul asked me.
"My name is Gabriella. Take off the meat from the fire" I said.
"But that's my lunch" Paul said.
"Take it off" I said.
He quickly took the meat off and put it to the side. I grabbed zip ties from my bad and tied his hands up. I picked up all his stuff and put it into his bag. I then put the bag onto his back and walked him towards Hunter.
"Where are you taking me?" Paul asked.
"Shut up and just listen to what I say" I said walking into the building I put Hunter in.
"Who's he?" Hunter asked.
"His name is Paul. This is Hunter" I said.
"Paul. How good are you at tracking?" Hunter asked.
"Horrible. I've been trying to find the community where my family is but I can't find it" Paul said.
"What was the community's name?" Hunter asked.
"It was The New Order. They aren't who they say they are. They are savages who kill people for fun. Especially under the lead of Zabi and his Son Finn. I had to leave my family there because it's better there then here. But I couldn't stand living there anymore" Paul said.
