Paul led the five exhausted lads onto the tour bus yet again. Security wouldn’t allow them to stop and talk to fans outside the venue this time because of the large number of girls waiting outside on this particular night. Over three hundred screaming Directioners were chanting the lyrics to Everything About You right outside the stage door. Some had been lined up for hours and hadn’t had tickets to the show, while others had only just joined the crowd after the boys’ performance had wrapped. Once they had all made it through the enormous crowd, everyone took a seat on the tour bus. They all knew it’d be a long ride to New York tonight. Zayn climbed into his bed and put in his headphones, tuning everything out. Louis changed out of his stage outfit and into a pair of rolled up sweatpants and toms shoes, along with a striped tee. Harry pulled out his iPhone and sat down on his assigned bunk while texting his mother Anne goodnight. Liam turned on his laptop to tweet to a few fans and say thanks for another awesome show. Niall sat down on Liam’s bunk, too. He had also turned on his laptop and went straight to his email to see if Marygrace had sent him anything new. His eyes lit up and a subtle smile spread across his face when he noticed a small blinking 1 next to his inbox. He clicked on the new email from Marygrace and read through it slowly. He reread it again once he was finished. It was as if he could hear her voice in his head.
She had written three long paragraphs telling Niall what had happened to her lately; she had gotten an A+ on a paper she’d written, she’d started going Christmas shopping with her family, and had gone to see a hilarious movie. Regardless of everything she’d told him, only one part of the email stood out to him most.
“I can’t wait to meet you after what feels like so long. :) Where do you want to meet up?” she’d typed after Niall had told her he’d be in New York for the holidays. He felt his heart skip a beat when he read it. Niall felt his nerves getting to him a bit. What would she think of him when she found out who he really was? Would she still feel the same way about him? Normally, Niall was without a care in the world, never thinking twice about what others thought of him but, he’d really fallen for Marygrace. He’d fallen hard.
