Marygrace awoke to the sound of girls singing just below the hotel room window.  She was exhausted.  She squeezed the pillow over her ears, turning over to block out the noise.  The fans had started singing early today and had just begun belting out the lyrics to a song that Marygrace didn’t recognize at first, especially in her sleepy state.

Im all out of faith, this is how I feel

Im cold and I am shamed lying naked on the floor

Illusion never changed into something real

Im wide awake and I can see the perfect sky is torn

You’re a little late, Im already torn

She wondered why they were singing that instead of a One Direction song.  Unable to block out the noise, she finally gave in.  Her eyelids slowly separated, adjusting to the change of light.  Her curly-haired friend had gotten out of bed a few minutes earlier and Marygrace heard the sound of the sink on in the bathroom.  The light poking through the clouds in the city invaded the room through the window.  Marygrace turned back over, reading the time on the clock.  She felt like the red 7:06 AM lit up on the digital alarm clock was mocking her.  She dragged herself out of bed, arms falling limp to her sides, shoulders hunched over exhaustedly.  She walked out just as Jessie was walking out of the bathroom looking wide awake.  She’d splashed a bit of water on her face, dabbed on the slightest bit of makeup to hide the exhaustion on her face, and pulled her hair back into a high ponytail again.

“Hey!  You’re up!” Jessie pointed out with enthusiasm.

“Morning,” Marygrace moaned back to her friend who laughed at her effort.  Jessie proceeded to go back into the bedroom while Marygrace freshened up.  She used the restroom, finger-combed her hair, and secured it into a side braid.  She swept her angled bangs to the side and put her earrings back in.  She decided to borrow Jessie’s idea as well, dabbing concealer over her slight under-eye circles just after washing her face with ice cold water.  She felt better already.  She rinsed her mouth out with water and rifled through her bag for a breath mint.  She exhaled a sigh of relief when she found one, it would have to do for now.  She swiped a bit of nude lip gloss on and left the bathroom, feeling much better than she had ten minutes earlier.

“Someone looks back to her perky self!” Jessie joked upon seeing her friend.  Marygrace flashed her pearly whites, acknowledging her comment.  Jessie had busied herself with making the bed and fixing the couch in the living room.  Marygrace’s eyes shifted to the folded clothing that sat idly upon the dresser.

“What are we going to do about clothes?” she wondered allowed.  Jessie shrugged.  Marygrace thought for a moment before coming up with an idea.  “I have an idea!” she said, picking up Jessie’s black lace dress from the dresser.  She turned toward the wall, gently taking off her pajamas and slipping the black dress over her head.  She tugged at it carefully, making sure the fabric settled correctly.  Next she slipped on her ivory oversized cable-knit sweater followed by Jessie’s black tights and heels.  She turned back toward her friend, spreading her arms wide.  “Ta-da!” she said walking in a circle to show off her idea.  Jessie smiled, admiring Marygrace’s great idea.

“That was a really good idea,” she said with a smile.  Jess put on Marygrace’s skirt along with the white V-neck that Eleanor had lent her.  She tucked in and bloused the shirt next putting on the intricately detailed nude tights and pumps that were left.  Both girls were happy with their resourcefulness and the fact that they wouldn’t have to wear the exact same clothes again.

Jess was in the process of folding the pajamas up neatly when they both heard a knock at the door.  Marygrace ran over to the door, squinting one eye to look through the peephole.  Bright blue eyes stared back at her and she immediately knew who it was.  She couldn’t even open the door fast enough.  She swung the door open wide as the blonde greeted her with a good morning hug.  She wrapped her arms around his neck as her high-heeled foot lifted off the ground in excitement.

“Good Morning!” he said pulling back, but still holding on to her arms.  A wide smile was on his face, mirroring hers almost perfectly.

“Top o’ the mornin’ to ya!” Marygrace joked, playfully mocking Niall’s irish brogue.  He chuckled in response.  Jess walked to the doorframe of the bedroom and waved.

“Morning Niall!” she said with a smile.

“Hey Jess!” he said happily.  “I actually stopped by to get all my stuff together.  The flight leaves at 10, so I have to get my bags downstairs soon,” he explained.

“Need any help?” Marygrace offered politely.

“It’s okay, you guys can just chill,” he said, not wanting to make her work.

“No, really,” she insisted “We have nothing to do anyway!”  Niall smiled at her enthusiasm and willingness to help out.  He nodded, giving in.

“Alright then,” he said.  He walked to the bedroom with Marygrace following him after making sure that the hotel room door was shut tightly.  Niall tugged his suitcase out of the space between the wall and the dresser where he’d shoved it yesterday, placing it on the bed.  He unzipped it and spread out the top flap so that the inside was wide open.  He also grabbed his hard guitar case out of the small closet where he’d put it earlier, placing that alongside his suitcase, also opened wide.  On the floor of the small closet, was a pile of clothes that he’d worn during the week, recklessly thrown together.  On the shelf was a row of snapbacks and two pairs of sneakers.

“Looks like we have a bit of work to do,” Marygrace joked when she say the closet.  Niall shrugged, making a funny face.  Marygrace covered her mouth giggling.

“She’s right,” Jess agreed.  Niall continued to gather all of his things into the bedroom while Jess and Marygrace folded up all of the clothes.  They sorted them out in his suitcase, organizing them by what had already been worn and what was clean.  They separated the pants and t-shirts from one another as well.  Niall was currently in the bathroom, gathering up all of his toiletries.  He came back into the bedroom with his arms full and dropped everything on to the bed.

“Wow!  That was fast,” he said eyeing the suitcase.

“It was no problem,” Jess said with a wave of her hand.  Marygrace nodded in agreement.

“Thanks girls,” Niall said sincerely.  “Usually it takes me like an hour to pack, and I don’t even fold the clothes!”  The girls both laughed.  Afterwords, Niall ran into the living room, grabbing his guitar.  He brought it into the bedroom, gently placing it in it’s case, being careful not to mess up the tuning.  He shut the case, snapping the locks and securing it together.  He grabbed all of the stuff from the bathroom and put it in the top pocket of his suitcase, zipping it up.  The girls helped him out, bringing everything to the door.

“Thanks again!” he said, smiling ear to ear.  He was happy that they’d gotten it done so quickly.  “Are you guys ready for breakfast?”
