Author's Note: Okay, so this chapter happens to be my favorite in the entire story so far. The prescense and meaning of music and lyrics is so important to me. Music is a gigantic part of my life and this chapter was just so much fun to write. I spent forever trying to think a perfect song. AFTER you read the chapter, listen to the song in the sidebar. I really really really hope for some great comments on this chapter, just because I really want to know your opinions. MaryGrace read through the twitter timeline mentally assessing the damage. She weighted the pros and cons in her head. Pros: No more sneaking around, no more secrets. Cons: Being followed around by security, Niall’s probably in trouble, possible hate messages, no more secrets.
“It’s alright Niall, don’t get too worked up about it,” she said consoling him. “It’s not a big deal. Don’t blame yourself,” she said putting her arm around him. He hung his head down, disappointed in himself, but quickly got over it.
“You know what? I’m not going to let all this ruin our night. The boys and I leave for london tomorrow and I’m not going to see you for a while. So what if the fans know everything now? Having a secret was fun while it lasted, but nothing is going to ruin our time together,” he said reaching an arm around her. She laid on his shoulder once more as he gently kissed the top of her head.
“Exactly,” she said, happy that he was getting over the twitter chaos. Niall looked back at his phone again, composing a new tweet. Whipped cream fight with my favorite girl @MGgabriel love you babe twitpic.com/qpwoei. Before sending it, he wanted MaryGrace’s approval.
“Now that the word is out, why not get rid of the ‘hiding from fans’ part of the article?” Niall said shrugging. MaryGrace nodded her approval.
“Why not?” she said mirroring Niall’s shrug with a smile. “I mean, we are the cutest couple ever,” she teased playfully. Her mouth spread wide into a smile and Niall’s did the same. That smile give her butterflies, she felt her heart leap. When he was happy, that almost automatically meant that she was, too. It was an amazing feeling.
Niall hit send and if his mentions were flooding before, they were overflowing now. They took turns reading through the first few tweets they spotted.
“Cutest couple ever! Best of luck to you both, so happy for you nialler x,” MaryGrace said reading a fan’s tweet. “I told you! We are the cutest couple ever!” MaryGrace gloated, sticking out her tongue. Niall chuckled.
“You were right!” he admitted. “Niall and MaryGrace. Even your names sound adorable together. If it can’t be me, here’s hoping that MaryGrace makes you happy! PS- follow me?” Niall read another tweet aloud causing MaryGrace to laugh. “Oh my god, she’s flipping gorgeous, congrats Niall!” he read that last tweet and putting his phone back in his pocket. It was his turn to gloat. “I told you that you’re gorgeous!” he said referring to the conversation they’d had earlier. MaryGrace blushed, shoving him playfully.
