Chapter 25

KENNY'S P.O.V

I don't know how I'm suppose to feel but I'm numb. I'm oblivious to everything that's going on with me right now. My father, my own flesh and blood is a rapist. The countless woman that told me he hurt them and I didn't believe them.

I feel bad now. I'm a monster. The devil. Everything that I know and love is a lie. I'm a fraud. My life is unexplainable.

"KENNY STOP!" Toni screamed making me look over at her. "PULL OVER NOW!"

I looked at her examining her not fully understanding her outburst.

"THAT WAS THE 4th RED LIGHT YOU RAN THROUGH! Let me drive."

I got out still not fully aware of my actions. I need a drink. Matter of fact I need a couple of bottles.

"I'm going to make myself a drink Toni." She nodded as I walked off into the house. The Hennessy was calling my name.

"Kenny come on it's time to go to bed. Stop I don't want to play right now."

"Come on Toni. Jump!" I yelled causing her to jump. "You're out. You didn't jump in time. Step back and watch a pro."

"How about we jump up the stairs and into the bed? First one is the winner." All I heard was winner and bolted for the stairs.

"I WON!"

I ran to the bed and jumped on it. I flew over the bed and landed on the floor. I don't remember anything after that.

TONI'S P.O.V

I held Kenny's hand as he laid on a hospital bed with a neck brace on. Kenny flew head first into the wall 2 days ago. He's been in and out of consciousness since.

"My head hurts so bad. Do you think you could massage my upper thigh area?" Kenny asked seriously.

"How about you just take nap? The doctor will be in here to hopefully discharge you soon."

"Then will you do it?"

"Kenny please get your mind out of the gutter for a minute. You almost broke your neck and could've paralyzed yourself."

"Wait I'm in the hospital? I was wondering why my house looked like this. Anyway, okay I understand."

"Kristi! OMG Kristi? I can't believe it's you!" A nurse said rushing to me.

"Oh no. You have the wrong person I'm so sorry." She looked at me as if she thought I was joking. She looked at Kenny then back at me.

"You just look so familiar. Maybe I'm just going crazy. Working these 12 hour shifts can be mentally straining." She said.

She walked off and I looked at a very frustrated Kenny. It's like he wanted to say something but couldn't come up with the words.

"That was odd." Kenny finally spoke. "Anyway, how did your testimony go? What's Juliet sentence now?" Kenny asked changing the subject.

"Oh baby about that. I wanted to go but I was here with you. I didn't know what I would've done if I left you and something happened. So I stayed, I hope you aren't mad?"

I was lying. I could had went but I started thinking and realized I didn't care for Juliet. Why would I help her crazy ass when she hated my guys over Derek. Fuck her.

"It's okay baby. You did what you felt was right and I can't be upset. I appreciate you worrying and thinking about me. I know it couldn't be easy waiting for me to get better."

I smiled as I grabbed Kenny's hand. The doctor soon came and discharged him. We were heading home but of course Kenny wanted to go see his father.

Kenton rolled his eyes as we got closer to him, "What the fuck y'all want now? Haven't you done enough by keeping me locked up? Just let me rot down here."

"Okay." I said walking away. Kenny grabbed my arm and walked towards his dad, "Don't be like that dad. We brought you something to eat. Now hush and get some food in you."

"I don't want it if that she devil cooked it. Bitch probably shnarted on it." Kenny laughed as Kenton shot a bird at me.

"That's not funny Kenny and fuck you too asshole."

"Dad she didn't cook this and even if she did she wouldn't play with it. Toni is really a good woman I wish you could see it."

"You talking about that hoe right there." Kenton asked.

"That's It I've had enough! You better stop calling me out of my name. As you've seen I'm not like the other females you're used to. I'll knock your ass out."

"Ohhh I'm shaking in these handcuffs. You haven't won this fight and you won't." Kenton smirked.

I stormed off and headed back to the car. Talking to him was frustrating me and I wouldn't let him ruin my mood. I had other things on my mind that I had to handle.
