Chapter 23

After making it to the top floor of the very lucrative building I waited patiently. Today I was meeting Juliet's defense attorney. He would be giving me a run down of what to expect.

"Sorry I'm late." A voice said behind me. I turned around to see Kenny's father.

"Um, that's okay but I thought I was meeting the attorney?"

He chuckled as he smiled, "You are. However, he running extra late so it'll just be us for a while. I hope that's okay."

Before I could say anything else he walked away and took the seat across from where I was sitting. His eyes raked across me as he got more relaxed.

"So you and my boy are dating? He better be treating you right. I hate for him to lose something as gorgeous as you." He winked.

"Mr. Edmonds do you have any advice for me when I testify?" I quickly asked trying to change the topic.

"Mr. Edmonds? You can call me Kenton sweetheart and yes I do. Be honest and tell the truth. Don't overthink the questions but most of all don't let them intimidate you."

I shook my head as I processed what he was saying. Besides him being a dirty old man he was okay.

"Do you need anything specific to prepare for this?" I looked at him confused not understanding his question. "You know like a new wardrobe, a vacation or just a fun night out on the town. Don't worry I'll pay for it." Kenton said.

"I bet you would pay for it. I don't know what you're used to but no thanks."

"You can't fool me like you're fooling my son. I know you money hungry broads like the back of my hand. It wouldn't be the first time my son and I have shared a woman. So stop playing and get this experience under your belt." Kenton replied.

"I got to go!" I jumped up and dashed for the door but he was faster than I thought.

He held me close to him as he placed my hair behind me ear. He was breathing in my ear while his right hand slowly ran across my thigh.

"Are you playing hard to get or are you just stupid? How long do you think it'll be before my son cheats or just leaves you? All of these women pass up my offer because they want the young, rich billionaire. Then boom he breaks their hearts and then they come crawling to daddy."

"Get off of me and leave me alone!" I struggled to get out of his tight grip but couldn't. I was getting more exhausted by the second.

A cloth appeared over my face and I shook my head in fear. It covered my mouth and face making me slowly remain conscious.

I woke up. No longer in an important building downtown but it seemed to be a basement. I was tied to a chair and my moving around made the motion sensor lights come on.

"About time your cute ass woke up. I was tired of waiting." Kenton said walking towards me.

"Waiting on what? You're a sick pervert just do whatever you want and leave me alone!"

"I'm not a sick perv Toni. I want you to be awake so you can enjoy this just as much as me. I'm a lot of things but I'm not selfish. So look we can do this the easy way or the hard way. Easy way is a little missionary I nut you're free to go. Hard way is doggy style, I won't be so gentle but I nut and that's it."

"Neither! How about you let me go and I won't tell anything?"

"Girl you can tell the world, I'm rich. This here will be a breeze to make disappear. So which one are you choosing?"

KENNY'S P.O.V

"I would rather rot in this hell hole before I let her testify for me. I don't want that tramp to be the reason why I get released." Ju said bitterly.

"You can't be fucking serious right now. This has to be the craziest thing I've ever heard. Just be thankful all your options are completely gone."

"Kenny, that woman took the lov-"

"Her name is Toni."

"Kenny, that WOMAN took the love of my life away from me. You don't know how hard it was to watch him parade her around. Everyone knew about them, the whole damn world Kenny!"

"Ju. I introduced them and suggested they get together." I confessed.

"See what I mean. Where I'm from that's fucking  prostitution! I bet she didn't even put up a big fuss. Nasty hoe!"

"You're so damn ungrateful. But fine you want to spend the rest of your life behind bars it's cool with me. I'm still going to sleep like a baby and be free."

Juliet thought for a minute and then rolled her eyes. I knew she wouldn't be able to survive something like life in prison.

"Fine....but you owe me." Ju whispered.

"I owe you? How? I'm paying for this lawyer and shit."

"Kenny don't act like this is the first time something like this has happened. The only difference is that I did the act that caused the death." Ju whispered as she smirked and got up.

Nervousness came over me as I tried to keep a straight face. I had to make sure Toni testified or both Edmonds' siblings would be behind bars for murder.
