I see Lynn around town time to time but when she sees me all she does is glare and basically send me the message I'm a dead man if I approach her. I feel guilty about acting out the way I did a few weeks ago, apparently the gang's noticed I'm not on the ball as I usually am. I haven't decided to tell them anything about Lynn, that was until Johnny dug it out of me this morning at the Curtis'.
"Dal, what's wrong?" Johnny asked
"Nothin'." I brushed it off
"Dal you're not yourself, I haven't even seen you around Buck's in a while." Two-Bit added
"And you haven't been runnin' from the fuzz in a few weeks either." Darry added
"Something's up." Sodapop agreed
"It's not important." I answered
"If its enough to send Dal off his rocker, its important." Steve added
"C'mon Dal, we just wanna know what's been getting under your skin." Johnny asked again
"Doesn't matter, nothing I can do about it." I replied
"Anything I can do?" Johnny asked. I swear that kid is so innocent. He's like a beat up puppy.
"No, I don't think there is." I shook my head
"Dally just tell us or we're gonna start guessin'." Two-Bit said
"Why?" I questioned
"Do you lose a pool game to Tim?" Pony teased
"What? No." I answered
"The liquor store file a restraining order on you yet?" Darry chuckled
"Not yet fortunately."
"Dally, are you having trouble getting in touch with your feelings?" Two-Bit asked in a grandma-ish voice
"Jesus, no!" I rolled my eyes and gave in, "It's a broad, alright?"
"Sylvia?" Steve asked
"Hell no, I'm done with that two timing bitch." I shook my head
"Buck was hollerin' about a supposed whore at his house all the time, added your name in there a few times too. You know how Buck is when he rambles, you can decipher maybe a few words but never the whole story." Two-Bit mentioned
