lynn

Dallas has basically moved in as my "live in babysitter", he's amazing with Gabe. I started at the Dingo almost a month ago and as expected my class made most of my coworkers look down upon me more than usual, but I don't care. I still get a paycheck, and I don't have time for shallow people.

Dallas has been doing so good with Gabe and hasn't let me down at all, I feel the need to thank him. I told him I needed him to watch Gabe for a little longer than usual tonight because I was working later to get some extra money. I was told I can get 50% more money for today if I work until 10, so I took the offer. Once my shift ended I kept working, until my boss came up to me. "Lynn? Your shift ended an hour ago."

"Oh but, you said I could get some extra money if I work a few more hours." I reminded

Also, my boss is a lunatic. "I did?"

"Yes." I nodded

"Well, if I did, I take it back." She said

"What?" I asked

"Your shift ended, and I don't have the budget to pay you overtime." She said

I couldn't believe how bipolar she was sometimes, "But-"

"Go home before you waste more of your time." She warned

"Can I at least be paid for the extra hour?" I requested

"You can get some extra tips I guess." She shrugged

She walked away and I knew there was no point in negotiation. I sighed, and felt defeated. I really wanted to come home with enough extra cash to pay Dallas a substantial amount for how much he's helped out. But I'll only be coming home with an extra $2. I slumped and grabbed my things, thinking of a different way I can make money tonight.

I left the Dingo and got into my car, sitting there for a moment in thought. An idea them came to my head, but I didn't know how to feel about it. I guess it wouldn't hurt, then again it'll just be once for a good cause. I sighed and drove off, Dally didn't expected me home for another 3 hours. Enough time for me to run a quick errand.

3 hours later

I walked into the house with a bright smile, it may have been a trip but I got the money and then some. Dally saw I got home, he was watching TV and I also noticed there was another person sitting on the couch. He was a dark skinned boy with doe eyes, he looked relevantly young. Dally spoke up and introduced me, "Lynn, this is Johnny. I hope you don't mind but I got a little bored and invited him over. He's cool I swear."
