Secrets Out

It's the Tuesday after Memorial weekend and Jack's birthday weekend. Jack had just pulled up to the school with Jackie when Lem is standing there waiting for them.

"Hey Ken, hey Jackie," Lem waves.

Hey Lem," Jack replies shaking Lem's hand.

"Good morning Lem," Jackie replies.

Jack and Jackie get to their locker to get their books for the morning.

"Hey Jack, Jackie," Torbert "Torby" MacDonald Jack's teammate runs up to Jack.

"Hey Torby," Jack replies.

"Hi Torby," Jackie replies.

"Hey, I just wanted to say congratulations to you two."

Jack and Jackie look at each other.

"For what Torby?" Jack asks.

"Isn't Jackie pregnant?" Torby asks looking confused.

Jackie looks at Jack.

"That Bitch!" Jack exclaims as he slams his locker shut before storming off.

Torby looks at Jackie.

"Yes Torby, it's true I am pregnant. We haven't told anyone yet other than our parents," she says her voice barely above a whisper.

"Congratulations Jackie. Well, I wonder how Inga found out because almost the whole school knows," Torby says hugging Jackie.

"Thank you Torby, but I think I need to go get Jack before he ends up getting expelled.

"Yeah I think you should," Torby says moving out of Jackie's way.

All Jack can see is red. He didn't know what he was going to say to Inga. All he knew he already owed her a few words for "spilling" her drink on Jackie.

He sees Inga at her locker laughing with Natalie and Rachel. He storms up to her.

Inga is laughing and stops when she sees the look on Natalie and Rachel's faces.

"What?" Inga asks.

"Inga, what the hell is wrong with you?" Jack says through gritted teeth.

"We'll see you later Inga," Rachel and Natalie say before taking off down the hallway.

Inga turns to face Jack.

"Jack, baby I'm fine. How about you?"

"Let's just say it's taking everything inside of me to not call you what I really want to call you."

"What your one true love? You're here to tell me that you want to take me back," Inga says trying hug Jack.

He puts his arm out to stop her.

"No, you evil witch. Who do you think you are Inga? Why are you trying so hard to destroy my relationship with Jackie; by trying to embarrass her so she'll leave me!"

"Jack, what are you talking about? I'm not trying to destroy you and Jackie's relationship. She can do that on her own."

"Why did you feel the need to tell the whole school?"

"Oh please Jack, people were going to find out anyway. When she comes back from summer vacation with a large round stomach it's gonna be obvious."

"Ok, we would have dealt with it then. You had no right to go around and tell everyone our business!"

"Oh well, the secrets out now!" Inga says as if she doesn't care.

Just then Jackie spots Jack talking to Inga. Thankfully he hasn't done anything to her.

"You're just mad because I won't take you back! So you're gonna try to destroy what I have with Jackie and you think that'll make me want you again."

"Like I said before Jack I don't know what you see in her," Inga says raising her voice, "just because she's pregnant doesn't make her a woman!"

Jack puts his hands over his face as he tries to calm down. Much to Jackie's chagrin people are staring at her.

"You know what Inga, you're just jealous that I'm having Jack's baby and he's with me. You had your chance and you messed it up. So don't try to ruin our relationship because you're bitter. You wish you were having his baby and who he calls baby. So you might as well accept it, Jack is mine now," Jackie says looking at Inga.

"Whatever Jackie, let's just be honest you know the only reason you got pregnant is to trap Jack."

"Excuse me?" Jackie says.

"You heard me! Why wouldn't you get pregnant by the most popular boy in the whole school? Jack is handsome and he's rich. Plus he has a full scholarship to Harvard and has been drafted to their football team..."

"I did not trap him!"

"Yes, you did Jackie! You're just trying to sink your little claws in him so you can benefit off of his future, especially if he gets drafted to the NFL."

"Ok, that's enough!" Jack yells.

Now everyone in the hallway stops. It's already bad enough some people are staring, but now the whole hall is quiet.

"Inga, accept that it's over. We're not getting back together. I am with Jackie and that's it. Stay away from her!"

The look on Jack's face shows that he is dead serious. Inga rolls her eyes.

"Fine, be with a child. I need a real man anyway," Inga says to Jack before storming off.

By the end of the day, Jackie is ready to go home. Her day consisted of many congratulations, stares from people in the hallway, people whispering when she walks by, and of course dirty looks from Jack's fan base.

"Hi beautiful," Jack says sounding exhausted.

"Hi," Jackie replies.

"I'm sorry Jackie," Jack says kissing Jackie's cheek.

"For what Jack?" she asks looking at him

"For Inga, she's being a bitch and I hate using that word to describe a female, but there's no other way I can describe her. I hate that she is trying to hurt you and break us up."

"Jack it's ok; Inga will get hers. Right now I just want to go home."

"Ok let's go home," Jack says.
