The First Time

Prom

Jack arrives at Jackie's house and parks his car where all the other cars are parked. Tonight he is going to see Jackie off on her senior prom.

Once he kills the engine, he sighs. He's supposed to be Jackie's prom date like she was his. Now he has to watch her leave on the arm of another guy.

He gets out of the car and knocks on the door. Right now he has to swallow his pride and accept the fact the way things are because of what he did.

Jack makes his rounds and speaks to Jackie's family and friends before sitting next to Lee who is holding Bella.

Moments later Brad arrives in a black tux waiting to take his girlfriend off to prom.

Tonight he knows Jackie is going to be breathtakingly beautiful. He makes his way in and speaks to everyone until he reaches Lee and Jack.

"Hi Lee, Hi Jack," Brad replies sounding a little uneasy.

"Hi Brad, you look handsome tonight," Lee says standing up and hugging Brad.

"Thanks," Brad replies.

"Hi Brad," Jack replies extending his hand.

Brad shakes Jack's hand and is surprised that Jack hasn't tried to break his hand again.

"Hello Brad," Janet beams as she comes down the steps.

"Good evening Mrs. Bouvier," Brad replies.

"Good evening Brad, you look handsome," Janet replies.

"Thank you, ma'am."

Janet looks at Jack and is shocked to see him.

"Oh Jack, I didn't know you were home from school," Janet replies.

"Good evening Mrs. Bouvier, I just came back two days ago," Jack replies trying to talk while Bella keeps trying to grab his mouth.

"Good, hope you had a good semester Jack," Janet replies.

"Yes, ma'am I did. Thank you," Jack replies.

A few moments later Jackie descends the steps looking like a vision.

Jack and Brad's mouths drop.

She looks amazing, Brad thinks to himself.

She looks beautiful, Jack thinks to himself.

Jackie smiles as she looks at Brad, who is standing there as if he is caught in a trance.

"You look handsome," Jackie says to Brad.

"Brad," Jack says tapping Brad on the shoulder.

"Huh," Brad responds.

"You look very handsome Brad," Jackie says again.

"Thanks, you look amazing," Brad says in awe, "I got you a corsage.

"Thank you," Jackie replies.

Brad with shaky hands slides the corsage over Jackie's wrist.

Jackie and Brad pose for a few photos before leaving to go off to the prom.

Later on, that night after making sure Bella is asleep; Jack is sitting on his parent's porch talking to Lem.

"How was Jackie's send-off?" Lem asks.

"She looked so beautiful Lem. I mean she looked really amazing," Jack says taking out his phone showing Lem the picture of Jackie he took.
