Past 2011

I didn't have a clue where I was going to end up as I didn't have a location in my mind when I teleported, meaning that I wouldn't be going home or to James's house. Plus the next part was my own fault, I should have focused on a safe location before I teleported. At least then I would have been aware of my location and not lost. I teleported into the woods and I landed with a splash as I appeared above the lake. You may be thinking how someone lands above a lake. Well I will explain to you folk. I had teleported onto a branch of a tree and such tree was by a lake and the branch that I was on was stuck out over the lake.

However, when I got onto the branch I didn't think anything of it, I was just happy to be away from that creep. Anyways before I had a chance to look around at the surroundings I slide of the branch thinking that I would be land on the ground, when actually I fell and went splash into the lake.

I couldn't have been under the water for more than 10 seconds but I swear I saw something watching me as I went down and then under. The water consumed me for a little while before I came back up for air. I felt like I was drowning and that I would never come back up.

It was as if someone or something was pulling down and trying to prevent all of the good I was destined to do with my life. I tried to swim to pull myself back up to the surface but it was too strong I was able to. I looked up towards the sky and the ripples of the water and it looked like someone was walking on the water above me. Every time I pulled against the water to try and get closer to the surface so that I could catch a breath, I was pulled back down. Deeper and deeper every time.

I felt like I had been under the water for ages but when I finally got back up to the surface to catch a breath and finally pull myself out. It all became clear that I couldn't have been under for more than a couple of seconds.

I took a couple of seconds to catch my breath and to look around to see if I could work out where I was and how long it would take me to get home. I couldn't work it out I hadn't seen this place before. It was as if I was in a different world entirely. I mean the water of the lake was a dark purple which made it clear to me that I wasn't any place close to home. Also the trees and bushes around me looked completely alien. I mean, have you ever seen a bright yellow bush! I put my head on my knees and my hands on my head and silently began to give up.

You probably think why someone who has magical abilities would throw in the towel so easily. Well the truth is at the moment I don't think magic is going to help me. Besides it was magic that got me here and magic always happens for a reason. So for whatever that reason is I have to believe that I am not going to be able to go home until I have seen what my magic requires me to.

I took in a deep breath to try and calm the panic rising inside me and lifted my head to have another look around me to see if I could see the person or figure that was stood above the water when I went under. I couldn't see anything it was getting darker now so my vision was a little limited. The wind was whistling and making the trees rustle all around me. Not really having anything to fear I pushed myself up and made my way to turn around. Just as I had turned around I jumped out of my skin. Someone was stood behind me; they couldn't have been watching me for long. I mean surely I would have noticed and felt the person's breath on me. I mean they weren't exactly at a safe distance as I was now nose to nose with this person.

I took a minute to look at this man and try to pick up on any similarities. He looked so familiar like someone I used to know and used to talk to but I couldn't put my finger on it. He had a long beard and very long scruffy blonde hair.

Oh my god. It was Leo!! I couldn't believe it; I hadn't seen Leo since that night at Tammy's house when he made a pass at me. I kind of felt sorry for him, I mean he didn't look like he was living with Tammy anymore if anything he looked like he was homeless. I was just about to ask him something when he cut me off before I had the chance.

So Lily, what are you doing in these parts?

I'm not doing anything in these parts Leo, other than try to find my way back home.

It's not far from Tammy's house I can show you the way there and then I will leave you alone. He replied in a depressing tone.

Thank-you I would appreciate that. I said with a small sad smile.

Follow me, it's this way. Leo said whilst walking in the direction of Tammy's.

I replied. Yes sir!

He laughed a small sad chuckle. This made me think about things that could have made him the way he is now and how I wanted to find out if it was my fault.

Leo? What happened to you? I said in a sensitive and caring voice.

He sighed and then said Look after that night, the one where I took things too far and your boyfriend hit me Tammy threw me out and said that I wasn't welcome anymore. So I had to move somewhere. So I made a wood cabin here and I have been living on my own in these woods ever since. We had been walking for a while and I wasn't sure if I should say that I forgive him or not about what happened. Truth be told I was a little uncomfortable around him and I knew that James would hit the roof if he knew I was anywhere near him.

I decided to tell him that I forgive him for what happened that night and that I'm sorry he got thrown out of Tammy's.

By the time I had finished talking we were just walking out of the trees and we were at the bottom of Tammy's garden.

I walked on and made my way up the steps towards Tammy's house. Before I made my way around to the front of the house I turned back around and waved at Leo.

Once at the front of the house I couldn't make up my mind on how to get home. Should I phone James for a ride, teleport, not on Tammy's door and ask if she could take me. Not wanting to use magic or disturb James, I knocked on the door. When Tammy opened the door she looked a little confused. I mean I knew that we hadn't seen each other since the party but I never hated her or anything. We both just stood there staring well until I said 'Hi, um sorry if I disturbed you. I just wondered if you wanted to come to Parker's for something to eat. I think we should talk.' Tammy didn't say anything for a while just stared at me like she couldn't believe I was at her house. Not in the popular way but in the way of why is she here she don't belong. I think. She then said 'Sure, I think that's a good idea. Let me grab my coat and we can go. In my care though.' She said with a friendly but kind of creepy smile on her face. I then said 'That's perfect because I walked here'.

She came out of her house and we made our way to the car and then got in. The car journal was silent other than the amazing taste of music Tammy had. I mean I never would have thought we had something in common.

Once at the diner we got out and when in and then sat in one of the booths. Tammy ordered coke and a chicken burger, I decided on the same. Whilst we waited for our food, I decided it was time for an explanation to why I was at her house and asked her for a chat.

So Tammy, you're probably a little confused to why I asked you here. Well the truth to the matter is I wanted to apologize for what happened at the party. I know it was ages ago but with recent events I think it is time to say sorry.'

She nodded and then said 'Lily, don't worry about that, no harm was done and it wasn't your fault.' She was smiling at me and I couldn't leave it at this I had to tell her about Leo.

'I also wanted to tell you that I saw Leo earlier and he doesn't look like he's doing very well.'

She didn't respond for a while and it wasn't until our food arrived that Tammy said 'Look Lily, I don't want to talk about my brother and how he is a shame on myself and my family. I would much rather it if we could start a fresh and possibly be friends.' Her response was a little like a slap in my face as I couldn't believe she wanted to be my friend. After a moment I snapped myself out of it and said 'Sure, friends would be cool'.

I stayed at the diner for ages with Tammy; it was fun hanging around with her and just talking about random stuff. It wasn't until I saw the time that I thought about leaving. It was 9pm. Tammy gave me a lift home and I made my way up to the house and straight to bed.
