I stared out the window and everything was silent. I looked back at James and he was gripping the steering wheel tight.
"You know this is hard on me too, Catherine?" He replied with anger in his voice
I turned back to the window and let out a loud sigh.
Tears started to trickle down my face.
Why is it when something good happens to me it's taken away fast?
We arrived home and I took off my shoes and curled up on the couch with a blanket.
I can't do this anymore.
After watching tv for an hour I decided to take out my laptop and research more about 'whopping cough'.
I didn't really know a lot about it and I was hoping it wouldn't take Amber's short life.
I typed 'whopping cough' into the search box and waited for the horror my eyes would meet.
Something popped up and It said "Young babies could get 'pneumonia' (lung infection) from the whopping cough, and many may have trouble breathing. About half of babies younger then 1 year of age who get whopping cough end up in the hospital, and a few even die from the disease."
(A/n: This was a direct quote)
I closed my laptop and put my hands on my face.
I couldn't bare the thought of losing her.
I haven't had her for long but I love her like I've had her for years.
I put away the laptop and decided I would talk to the doctor more about it tomorrow.
A/N: I know the story is getting boring but hang in there.
There is a lot more exciting things left in this book to come, I promise!
9 chapters left!
I'm trying to update a lot today.
I'm going to update another chapter today after this one.
And I'm going to update another on Wednesday!
Because Wednesdays are my favorite.
