Chapter 19

In the morning I got dressed and immediately went to Cole's condo to pick up Amber. I knocked but there was no answer. My heart began to race. I kept knocking and knocking but there still was no answer.

I grew more aggressive and worried. I wiggled the door nob to see it was open. I sighed in relief and open the door. I didn't see any sign of Cole or Amber.

Tears threatened to fall out of my eyes but I pushed them away.

'Where could have they gone?' I questioned myself

I walked to a bedroom and opened it. I saw Cole, Amber and Lindsey all sleeping in one bed. Amber was sleeping in between Lindsey and Cole. She touched my baby!!?

I stormed to the bed and saw Amber. She looked like her head was getting hot and she looked a little sick.

"What the heck is going on?" I screamed and it woke them up

I grabbed Amber out of the bed and held her in my arms.

They both sat up and Lindsey smiled at me with a devilish smile. I handed the baby to Cole and went up to Lindsey.

"What did you do to my f*cking baby!?" I yelled in her face slapping her a few times

I had enough. First she tried to hurt me now my baby? I would not let her get away with this, this time!

I took her hair and pulled it. I clenched my fist and threw a couple of punches until I heard someone telling me to stop. Amber was crying loud.

"Catherine stop!" Cole shouted at me

I looked back and stared him straight into the eyes.

"I knew I should've not trusted you!" I spat at him

I took Amber out of his hands and grabbed her stuff. I will never leave him with her anymore! I speed walked back to our condo and told James everything. He looked pissed too.

We decided we should drive her to the hospital because something might be wrong with her because she was sweating and looked sick.

We put her in her car seat and drove off.

We arrived and rushed out and took her to some nurses. They put her into a room and told us to wait in the waiting room.

My legs couldn't stop tapping I was so nervous about they might say some bad news I could not bare. My hands would not stop shaking and my breathing was heavy.

"Calm down honey, here I'll go get us some coffee." He said holding my hands then letting go and getting up and walking around the corner to get coffee

I put my face into my hands.

"Please God, don't take her away from me. She is so young and she has a bright future ahead of her. I know I'm not the best mom I could be but please let me get the chance to raise her and let her know I really love her." I whispered to myself as I broke into sobs

James came back with two cups of coffee. He handed one to me and it was hazel nut. My favorite, and he knew that. He wrapped me in a hug and squeezed me tight.

"She'll be alright babe. Just think positive." he reassured me kissing my forehead

*1 hour later*

A nurse came out and stood in front of James and I.

"I have some news to tell you." She said looking at us both

I looked at James then back at her.

This can't be good...

I'm so mean. I'll probably update tomorrow.

I might not update that much due to school starting back up in a few days so yeah but I hope you guys still keep updated!
