Chapter 11 (alternative chapter)

As I grab my keys and leave the house I get a text from Justin.
"Good luck on your first day princess xxxxx"
I smiled at the text but decided not to reply as I was already running late.

When I arrived at Annie's I apologised and got straight to work waitressing tables. As the night went on my legs started to ache. I had been walking from table to table for 3 hours straight. This job was long but only on the weekends , on the weekdays it was only a 1 hour shift.

As my shift was coming to an end I left the back and headed to my last table of the night.
And it just had to be him. To be Grayson. As we locked eyes they widened in shock but I continued walking to the table. The last time I spoke to him was when he kissed me.

"Hi um what can I get for you sir" I awkwardly smiled.
"Um can I have the vanilla milkshake please." He returned the same smile.
I nodded and just as I walked away until he spoke again.
"Louisa"
I turned back around.
"Are we just going to stop talking because of one mistake."
"That's the plan"
"Wait. I don't want one stupid thing I did to ruin anything. Can't we still be friends?"
I'm happy he said that.
"Yeah sure do you wanna come over to my place ? My shift finishes in.. right now actually . I could meet u out back?" I said as I checked watch that read 7:30 pm.

"Yeah sure" he smiled.

5 mins later

I walked out and saw Grayson standing by my car god he looked hot.

Grayson
As I saw Louisa come towards myy eyes lit up and I smiled. I rlly wanted a second chance , even if that meant putting my feeling aside, she wouldn't ever like me anyway. Ah unlocked the car as we got in and started to head home.

I still remembered the way to her house from counselling.

At home - Grayson
We stepped inside the door and the smell of roses filled my senses. The smell of Lou.

"Should we go to my room ? I prefer it in there." Lou asked as she chucked the keys on the counter and looked back.
I nodded and followers her up the stairs to her bedroom. As I turned the corner I caught a glimpse of the bathroom and shuddered.

"So how are you?" Louisa looked around as she sat on the bed.

I stayed standing unsure of what to say or do.
Fine except I miss you and can't live without you.

But I can't say that.
"Yeah I'm fine thanks." I reply
"You can sit you know" she laughs as I stand awkwardly until I sit next to her on her bed.
"Let's not make it awkward!" Lou jokes and I laugh with her , that's the first time I've laughed in a while.

After we laughed we stared at each other , eyes to lips until I turn away . She doesn't want it.
It's silent until Louisa's phone pings and I pick it up thinking it's mine.

My heart drops as I read the text.

"Good luck on your first day princess xxxxx"

She has a boyfriend??.
"Sorry I thought I was my phone." I hand the phone to Lou and she smiles as she looks back up to me.
"is he your boyfriend?"
"No we are just friends gray why"
"I was just wondering"
I grab the phone and put it abover her head as we both laugh. I love teasing her.

She pushed me over and I land facing up on the bed. But I don't let go of the phone which caused lou to fall straight on top of me.

Our faces are inches apart as we stare at each other both dropping the phone on the bed . I didn't know what to do . Of course I wanted it but she didn't.

Louisa

Our faces were inches apart and all I wanted to do was kiss him but of course he didn't want it. He was over me.

But I took a risk as I adjusted my hands to his face and smashed my lips onto his. And in that moment , nothing had ever felt more right.

Grayson

Shock filled my body as I felt Louisa's lips on mine , the heat of her body radiated off mine as I kissed back. I was so confused. She pushed me away last time - what changed ? But in that moment I didn't care all I could think about was Louisa's lips on mine.

Louisa
My heart beat out of my chest as mine and graysons lips moved in sync. This was all I wanted . Maybe now I could be happy.

As we pull apart we look at each other , smiles displayed on our faces. We sit up on bed in silence but not awkward silence , good silence, until Grayson spoke.

Grayson
"Why would you kiss me?" I asked , breaking the silence.
"What do you mean?" She frowned as she adjusted her body to face mine.
"The day at the hospital , you pushed me away."
"I-I know. I just -" she stopped talking for a second , thinking about what to say.
"I'm sorry I wasn't ready . I wasn't sure what I wanted." She continued as we both smiled.
"I am now though." She smirked as she leaned in again.
"Are you sure this is what you want?" I asked leaning backwards away from her.
"Yes!" She pulled me close and kissed me again , sweetly.

Louisa
Everything felt right. Nothing could ruin this , nothing. We both couldn't stop smiling as we got inside the bed sheets and fell asleep to the sound of passing cars outside my window.
