Still Adjusting (New Adjustments part 2)

"Hey baby, what's up?" Trey said as he opened his locker.

I looked at him and smiled. "Hey babe."

I grabbed a few books for my morning classes and put the ones I didn't need in my locker.

"So what happened between you and Jada yesterday?" He asked.

"What are you talking about?" I asked acting like I didn't know what he was talking about. 

You can't keep nothing a secret at this damn school. He looked at me like he knew I knew what he was referring to.

"Listen, we are not going to talk about this. Jada is the last thing I have on my mind today." I said as I walked a little closer to him. He looked at me as I kissed him. He eagerly kissed me back. 

"Ew, get a room." Jos said as she walked passed us.

I lightly laughed. "Okay well I think we should get to class before we both be late."

"You might be right." He said as he kissed me again.

I grabbed my bag and closed my locker and Trey did the same and we walked to class.

*JOS' POV*

After school I went straight home. My mom and dad are going on a date tonight, and I have to stay with the kids...great.

"MOM!!!! Do you know where my sweater is!?!" My brother called.

"Which one?" My mom called back.

"The one with the red and blue stripes?!"

Oh my goodness, if they do not stop yelling! I got up off my bed and closed my door.

"Now let me finish this homework before I call Joel's ass."

I am the first born, then my twin brothers and a baby. My twin brothers are ten and my baby brother will be one in a few months . My parents were high school sweethearts and got married once they graduated. While in college, they got pregnant with me. After college, my dad went into construction and my mom is in real estate. 

"Joslyn, we are about to head out. Is there anything you need before we go?" My mom asked as she slightly opened my door and stuck her head inside. 

I looked up at her from my bed and smiled. "No mom, I don't. But you guys have fun tonight. I'll take care of the demons." I told her. 

She smiled and shook her head. "Okay baby, well if y'all need anything just call. We will have our phones on us. And remember, the twins bedtime is ten o'clock and Jeffy needs to be sleep by eight. I do not want him off of his schedule. Okay?"

"Yea, mom I know, I know. I know all their bedtimes. Once I finish my homework, I will put them all to bed." I told her as I got up from my bed and walked over to her.

"Okay good. It's just been a while since we've had a date night and I don't want anything to go wrong tonight. Your father has had a rough time at work and with the new baby, it's just been a lot and I need everything to go good tonight. I need him to enjoy himself. I need him to not stress tonight. Okay. So if it is too much to handle, please let me know now. Are you sure you got this?" She asked looking concerned and tired. 

I smiled to reassure her. "Mom, chill. I got this. Everything will be okay. Go have some fun with dad tonight. I got everything here. They already ate, I'll give them their baths and put them to sleep. It's okay, I got this." 

"Thank you baby." She kissed my forehead and smiled. 

Once my parents left, I told Jason and Kason to take their showers. Then I gave Gibson his bath then put him to bed. Once the twins finished their bath, they went straight to sleep. I went downstairs and locked up then went back to my homework. An hour later I was finishing up when my phone buzzed with a notifications. It was a text from Nae. 

'So I'm out with B at this chinese place in the next town over and Joel is here with some chick. I don't know if it was a friend or a family member or what but I thought you should know.' 

He told me he was out studying all night.

'Send me a picture.'

I'm going to find out who the hell he is out with!

A few seconds later the picture came through and it was definitely Joel and that girl from my art class that has a huge crush on him!

I called Nae and she answered on the first ring.

"That's ol girl from my art class and she has a crush on him. What are they doing now?" I asked.

"They're just talking. Do you wanna come here and find out?" She asked.

"Nah, I can't. My parents went out and I'm here with the boys. Here, FaceTime me so I can see what they're doing. I don't wanna work myself up over nothing but I need to see if this is a date date or if they are just hanging out." I told her.

"Okay hold on. Let me which to FaceTime."

A few seconds later her face was on the screen. "Can you see me?" She asked.

She acts like an old lady when it comes to phones haah.

"Yea." 

She switched the camera so it was showing Joel and the girl. So far they were just talking but it does look like they are leaning into each other. And they look a little too comfortable with each other. I have a bad feeling about his. About ten minutes they were still talking and I was about to let Nae know  I was hanging up until this nigga reached over and kissed her!!! Like he mad the first fucking move! What the hell!? 

"Oh shit..." I heard Nae say. She switched the camera back around so that it was facing her. "I'm sorry girl. What do you want me to do? Do you want me to tell him off or something?" She asked.

"Nah, that's okay. Just leave it alone. I figure out what to do. But thanks for calling me. Don't tell anyone. Okay?" I asked. I gotta figure out what I am going to do about him. 

"Yea girl, sure. I won't say anything."

We said our goodbyes and hung up. I put all my books into my bag and cleaned up a little. I took a nice hot 30 minute shower then laid in bed. I turned off the lights and just looked up at the ceiling. My boyfriend is cheating on me. My phone started buzzing and I picked it up. It was a call from Joel. Should I answer it?

"Yea?" I answered.

"Hey sweety."

"How was your studying? Get a lot done?" I asked. I'm going to try and pull out the truth.

"Oh it was good. Got a lot done." He's lying.

"Did you eat?"

"Oh, my mom mad some food. It was good."

 He's lying again.

"Okay well look, I will see you tomorrow."

"Okay, good night and I lov-"

I hung up before he could finish what he was saying.

That lying ass bastard!!!

My phone buzzed again and this time it was a text from Khris. She said she will be here at 7:30 in the morning to take me to school. Because we're going to Dria's tomorrow night, we're carpooling. I texted her back saying that was okay and then I tired to go to sleep. It's hard because there is just so much on my mind right now. What am I going to do?

Sorry for the late update. I've been working some crazy hours and I'm working on a new book. Things just haven't been.... I mean it's all good. I hope y'all like looking into everyone else's life. I thought I need to give friends a background and see what makes them them. See where their personalities come from and why they are the way they are. You know? Well anyway, enjoy.
