Once we arrived at his place, I fell unto the couch and Trey laid on top of me which pushed a giggle out of me.

He sighed. "That's better." 

I kissed his forehead and rubbed my hands along his back.

"You know my mom invited you over for Christmas dinner. She misses you."

He laughed. "I'm game. My dad wanted me to spend dinner with him but your house sound much better."

"Babe, you can't avoid for dad for ever."

"Man, I don't wan-" He tried to get up and I wrapped my arms tighter around him.

"Baby, look at me."

He tried to get up again.

"I said look at me Tremaine." He did. "I know things are tough and you have every right to be mad, but whether you like it or not, that's still your dad. You gotta have a conversation with him babe."

Minutes that felt like hours ticked by until he said something. 

"I love you."

I kissed his forehead again. "I love you."

He nestled his head between my neck and breathe in deeply.

We stayed like that for a few more minutes. We took a shower together and then went to sleep.

The next couple of weeks went by in the blink of an eye. Issa came up a week back and him and Que went to go visit family in Philly. Trey's cousin Khalil came into town a few days ago. Khris went out of town to spend the holidays with her sisters in LA. Ever since the last day of school, I haven't heard much from Jos or Nae. I called Brandon and he said she's going through some family stuff with her mom. She'll fill us in when she's ready. 

It is Christmas Eve and I have a few last minute gifts to get. My mom hasn't been felling while so she's been on bedrest. Alex is out with friends and Trey is with family so I'll be on my own today and honestly, I'm okay with that. I need some alone time. 

"Hey mom, how are you feeling?" I poked my head into her bedroom.

She looked up from her book and smiled. "Yea baby, just relaxing. How are you? Going somewhere?" She removed her glasses and sat her book down. 

"Yea." I laid on her bed and put my head on her shoulder. "I have some last minute shopping to do and I guess have a day to myself. Are you gonna be okay here by yourself?" I looked up at her.

"Of course I will. I have my book, and I'll probably take a nap later. I'll be fine honey, have fun. And pick your sister up something nice." She kissed my forehead. 

"Okay mom, call me if you need anything. I love you." 

I gave her a hug and walked out to me car. 

About 20 minutes later I arrived at the mall. And I should've left earlier because it was packed. I found a parking spot farther away from the entrance. Okay so I have a gift for Trey, Alex, and Que. I need to get something for my girls and the baby. Maybe I'll get Trey something else. Shit, I love spending money on my man! Okay, chill Dria. Relax, don't start spazzing out here. 

I grabbed my purse and slung it across my shoulder and got out the car. I made sure my doors where locked before I walked towards the entrance. As I walked through the front sliding door, I cursed to myself. I thought the parking lot was packed, well damn.

I made my way to this antique shop on the other side of the mall entrance. I want to find some friendship bracelets or something....I don't know.
