Still Adjusting (New Adjustments part 2)

*Two months later*

It's just been hectic the first couple of months of school with all of these early college visits and class elections, homecoming and prom stuff. And let's not forget about graduation stuff. But right now, I have one more college visit and then I have to get ready for homecoming. Which Trey still hasn't ask me to go yet. I turned down three dudes already.

"Are you ready Dria?" My mom asked.

I looked at the doorway and smiled at her. "Yes."

I grabbed my suitcase and my purse and followed my mom downstairs. I sat my stuff down at the door and walked into the kitchen where Alex was stuffing his face with waffles.

"Fat ass." I said to him as I grabbed a plate.

"Mom!" He yelled through the little bit of space he had in his mouth.

"Snitch."

He laughed. "So."

"I can't wait!" Joslyn screamed.

"Oh calm down." I told her.

All the seniors are leaving today to go to two different colleges. Half are going to one in Atlanta and the other half is going to Virginia. I'm in the group going to, of course, Atlanta haah. Joslyn, Susie, Kenny, and Que are all going as well. Trey, Mar, Khris, B, Nae and Alex are going to Virginia. It's only a couple of days and then we come back to set up for homecoming.

I'm so excited to go because I'll see Issa. I haven't seen him since he came down a few weeks after graduation for a couple of days.

"Hey guys!!! Who's ready to leave?" Khris asked as she came up to Joslyn and I.

"Me!!!" Joslyn yelled.

I rolled my eyes as I spotted Trey walking in talking to Mar and B.

"Okay, I'll check up with yall later." I told the girls as I ran to my baby.

"Trey!" I yelled as I ran into his arms.

He hugged me tight. "Hey baby."

"I'll miss you so much." I told him.

He pulled me back and kissed me. "It's only a couple of days baby."

"Yes I know but still."

"Oh hush and kiss me."

I kissed him.

"Well ew. Now y'all both know I'm standing right here right?"

I pulled back and saw Mar and B standing there looking all disgusted. I blushed a little.

"Oh shut up." Trey told them as he put his arm around me and walked down the hall.

"Hey babe." Khris said to Mar as we approach where I left them just minutes ago.

He hugged and kissed her as B hugged Nae.

"So when's Joel coming back from his family vacation?" Trey asked Joslyn.

"His flight gets in late tomorrow night."

"We know you excited." I told her.

"Hell yea. I haven't had any since he left. Damn, I'm struggling here." She put her hands in the air in frustration.

We all laughed. She is a trip.

"Homecoming tho." Mar said.

"Hell yea!" Trey agreed.

I looked up at him with a snare look. He still hasn't asked me.

"Who are you going with Dria?" Khris asked me.

"Ummm, I don't know. A couple of dudes asked but I only have one person in mind. But that person hasn't asked me yet. So we'll see."

"Ooo, who asked?" Joslyn asked.

"Well the second string running back on the football team asked me. Then this one dude in my art class asked. Oh and Ray."

"What!?!" Trey asked.

"What?" I questioned.

"Ray? On the basketball team Ray? Ima beat his ass." He was seriously angry. It's funny af!

"Oh calm down, I told him no. I'm waiting for my boyfriend to ask me but he's playing. If he doesn't hurry up, I might accept Ray's offer. Shit..."

Trey and Mar looked at each other like they were talking in some secret language or something.

"So who are y'all going with?" I asked the group.

"Well of course I'm going with Joel...duh. Khris?" Joslyn said.

"I don't know. My boyfriend never asked me either." She rolled her eyes.

"These boyfriends slippin. I'm about to get me a side nigga. They know how to treat a girl." I said.

We all laughed as the boys just looked at us.

"Very funny." Mar said.

"Y'all think we playing huh?" I asked.

"You better be." Trey said.

I looked at him like he was crazy.

*TREY'S POV*

She was just staring at me like I was crazy so I leaned in and kissed her.

"Ew, get a room. Please."

We broke apart and stared at Alex and Que as they were just staring at us. Que had this kinda angry look while Alex just looked disgusted.

Dria rolled her eyes.

"Attention students, please report to the auditorium for a couple of announcements. Thank you." VP said over the intercom.

"Alright, let's go." Trey said as we all started walking with the crowd.
