"WAKE UPPPP!!!!!" Alex screamed as he was jumping on my bed.

"Alex, come on!" I pulled the covers over my face. "I'm trying to sleep."

"I can't open my gifts until you are up. Come on!"

"You are such a kid. Go away. I'm tryna sleep."

"You have two seconds to get up or else." He said seriously.

I pulled the overs off my face and looked hims dead in the eyes. "You would dare." He knows I'm ticklish.

"Try me."

"Okay, I'm up." I jumped out of bed as he smiled.

"Great, let's go."

Our holiday tradition has always been the same. Wait until everyone was up, open gifts, watch holiday movies as a family, then went out to see other family members. When we were in Atlanta, it was easy to see other family members because we were all close to each other. Now that we live here, it's a little difficult. Last night, Trey texted me to let me know his dad invited us over for Christmas dinner. I told my mom and she agreed.

Alex will be driving since she's still supposed to be on bedrest and Que is still out of town. I'm not sure when he'll be back.

Alex ran downstairs like the kid he was. Once I reached the living room, mom was sitting on the couch drinking tea watching Alex.

"Son, you're 18. Act like it." I giggled and she looked at me in the doorway. "Merry Christmas baby."

I smiled at her and wrapped her in my arms gently. "Merry Christmas mommy! Hows my little sister doing in there?" I rested my hand on her belly.

She usually doesn't like it when people touch her belly but she lets me. I'm not exactly sure why tho.

"She's good. Now get over there and open your gifts."

Christmas is her favorite holiday. She always goes out of her way to make sure everyone is happy. Before I opened my gift, I reached behind the tree where I stashed her blanket and handed it her. "Merry Christmas mom."

She sat her tea down and reached for the gift with tears in her eyes. "You didn't have to baby. But I'm glad you did."

She slowly removed the wrapping paper and pulled the blanket out of the box.

She looked at it silently and now I'm wondering if the blanket was the right gift to give her.

"Uhhh, mom? Do you like it?"

She lowed the blanket and she had tears in her eyes and smiled at me. "Baby, I love it! Thank you so much."

She started to get up but I was faster and pulled her into a hug.

"I love you. I'm glad you like it."

"I love you too baby!

We all exchanged gifts and then watched some classic Christmas movies. Home Alone, The Grinch, Ice Age, A Christmas Story, Charlie Brown, Frosty and many more but of course we didn't finish them all today. We watched a couple then went to get ready to go to Trey's dads house. But first I need to FaceTime Que.

I dialed his number and he answered on the second ring.

My mom and Alex were in the background when his face popped up on the screen and we all screamed in unison.

"Merry Christmas!"

He smiled. "Merry Christmas to ya'll too."

"When are you coming back?" Mom asked.
