I leaned against the cafeteria table and let out a sigh, I still couldn't believe I was grounded for two weeks.

"Well, why did you dye your hair?" Kory asked right after I finished my rant on how unfair my mother was being.

"Kai,"  I whisper, not wanting other people to hear. It didn't need an  explanation, everyone knows he's bad news. So it was a good reason if  you thought about it.

"Explains so much." Kerum let out  sarcastically, she was still mad that I didn't hang out with them  yesterday- even if it wasn't really my fault as to why I didn't join  them.

"Kerum, please take that stick out of your ass. I told you I  was dragged." I said rolling my eyes. "I'm hanging out with you guys  today alright?"

Even if other people needed my help right now. I wanted to add but stared at my food instead.

I felt so bad, I have stopped helping people and it really wasn't like me.

It's not really your fault, you're just drawn into Kai's beauty.

I cursed myself, how could I think that,  he got me grounded. Actually, I wouldn't have been so mad but my mother  gave me an hour lecture. With many words that I was forbidden to repeat  in front of her presence.

My friends had their phones in their hands texting and my frown deepened.

I  didn't have my phone, it was taken away and I felt left out for some  reason. So I quickly excused myself and got up. My friends just looked  up for a second but said okay.

I walked to the bathroom, my head  down because I did not look good as a blond. I'm still wondering how  some girls can make it work while I look hideous with it.

Sad as  it is, I'm now regretting not taking advantage of my last hairstyle. At  least I didn't look like a rejected Barbie that went through many  processes that made her look better but ended up worse.

I was not cut out to be a blond.

"Hey, look at you? Is something different?"

"Yes actually, I got new shoes. Thanks for noticing." I said sarcastically as I turned to face a very amused Lucio.

"Why  did you dye your hair? It doesn't really go with you." He commented, I  was already feeling insecure about this hairstyle and he wasn't making  me feel any better.

"Thanks captain obvious. Actually Ka- um it  was a dare." I corrected myself. Even if he caught it because his facial  expression went from amused to not-so-amused.

"You're still  helping him? Didn't you get my message, you have no fucken clue who  you're messing with." His jaw clenched and I admired his jawline. It  wasn't as good as Kai's but it was a close second.

"Say's a  gang leader," I say lowly, but he caught it because he took a step  forward, and it wasn't like it was meant in a good way- it almost seemed  like he was restraining himself from hitting me.

"Look Denies, I really don't want you getting involved in this but Kai's family has something we want."

"Ah, so blackmail is the way to go for you I see?" I tilt my head just a tiny bit so he knows how ridicules this whole thing is.

"Actually,  that is for my own privilege. Kai doesn't know much about what we  want. He does, however, get an inside on a lot of stores, considering  his mom basically owns this city. So I can get a bit more valuables." He  said. What I didn't understand about this whole thing is as to why he  was telling me. I could easily go snitch to Kai and he could- yeah  I'm not so sure what he could do. Maybe I do need to help him quicker  before Lucio makes him do something that will make Kai feel worthless.
