Chapter 25

With my shoes squelching, and hair dripping, I stalked back to Old Man Tazuna's house.

"Damn chakra training... why is it so difficult..."

As I walked along the docks, I noticed how sad the town looked.

"Jeez that Gatou guy must really be sucking this place dry..."

I opened the door to see Dad and Tazuna having a low conversation. Looking around, I noticed that Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura weren't in the house.

"Hmm, they must still be in the forest."

I quietly took off my shoes, and went into the kitchen. Ms Tsunami was making tea.

"Oh hello... uh..." She started.

"Kye." I politely reminded her.

"Ah yes! Sakura is the one who has the pink hair, just like the tree" She smiled

Being confused with Sakura was like a slap in the face, but she was nice enough.

"The tea smells delicious, what kind is it?" I asked.

"Its a special brew that my mother taught me. Would you like to know how to make it?" She responded.

My mother never taught me things like that, so I jumped at the opportunity.

"Yes ma'am! Thank you!" I grinned.

-Time Skip-

After learning how to make tea, I noticed that Dad wasn't talking to Mr Tazuna anymore. He was just lounging about reading his bright orange book.

"Maybe I shouldn't interrupt his reading...."

I stood in the middle of the room awkwardly debating wether I should ask him or not.

"Kye, what's wrong?" Dad looked up from his book.

"Uh, I wanted to ask you about-" I was suddenly interrupted by Sakura barging into the room.

"Kakashi-sensei, we need to help these people! They have no hope! We need to show that we are here to help them!" She practically yelled.

I slipped out just as Dad was about to respond.

"ugh, I don't wanna be listening to that right now."

I found my sword and dug around Dad's bag for a whetstone.

As I unsheathed my katana, I noticed lots of chips in the blade.

"I need to get this professionally sharpened." I sighed

I thought about that big sword Zabuza uses.

"That would be so cool to wield. It would be hard for a shrimp like me to use it though."
