Hide x Kaneki one shots

Break up?

I don't know when Hide started ignoring me or when we stopped calling, taking, even having physical contact. All I know is that Hide is out enjoying life without me. I guess I did something for him to just cut me off without any reason, I'm not even sure if I'm his boyfriend anymore. We never officially broke up, maybe this was his way of breaking up. Now I'm too scared to go up to Hide and ask him myself, which sounds ridiculous because he still may be my boyfriend.

"Sure I'll see you later." I heard Hide's voice echo throughout the hall, no matter how hard I tried to go talk to him I got nervous. The anxious feeling would stay there until Hide would past. I heard footsteps coming closing to me. I looked up and saw blond hair, I immediately knew it was in fact Hide. Now was my chance to talk to him.

"Oh, Hi Hide." Hide smiled and came closer to me.

"Hey Kaneki." How is acting like we didn't talk for two weeks? Hide wore the same smile that he gave me two weeks ago, but he still had a unreadable expression.

"How are you?" I asked. I couldn't just ask why he was ignoring me, right?

"Good, I've been making new friends. Its been nice!" Hide said this all while looking at his phone.

"That's nice.." So Hides been busy with new friends. That's understandable.

"Hey Kaneki we haven't been on any dates in awhile, wanna go out on Friday?" Hide flashed me his famous smile, the one I fell in love with.

"Of course! Text me the details" Hide nodded and pulled me into a quick hug, which caught me off guard.

The rest of the week felt like forever, knowing I get to see Hide in five days which was still nerve wrecking. Would we still click, was he still in love with me? I guess I would get my answers in five days..

Friday finally came around, I was almost done getting ready when my phone started ringing.

"Hey, Kaneki I have bad news... I'm not able to make it tonight. I'm really sorry." I sighed I had a feeling Hide would bail on me.

"It's okay, I wasn't feeling the best anyways" I lied of course I just didn't want him to feel bad.

"Oh really? Rest up and drink lots of fluids" I almost laughed at Hide but I feel like I should be upset with him.

"I will, bye" I hung up quickly. Maybe I should go out and have fun. It wouldn't kill me to have just a little bit of fun without Hide. I sat up with a whole new plan for tonight. Time to go to that party everyone was taking about.

I quickly finished getting ready and put on my shoes. I walked out and headed to the 'famous' party house. I could barely see the house in the distance but I could hear the music so clear. This may be the night I loose my hearing.

I reached the house in no time, but as I was about to open the door I started having second thoughts. Who was there? Was I even welcomed? Going home and reading a book sounds like a perfect evening, but I need to do new things right? I reached for the door knob and quickly turned it. The adrenaline was overwhelming, I almost let go.

"Look it's Kaneki." I immediately froze upon hearing my name. I looked around trying to find who said my name. Although I think I know who's voice that was.

"Hey Kaneki over here!" I looked up to see Yuta waving me over by the stairs. I walked up to him.

"Hello Yuta." I smiled at him, maybe he could tell I was nervous because he gave me a reassuring smile.

"Now never in a million years would I expect to see Ken Kaneki at a party." I gave a chuckle at that because I, myself wouldn't have expected this either.
